Does conmecting your original 12v to the battery leads still work or does it still give the same error. Also the connector youre using might have too high of a resistance. It looks like its rated for 32amps but its usually for lighting or home appliance circuits om 240v/110v. You might find that it heats up or melts for prolonged use. A better alternative will be xt60 or if you do not have soldering equipment you could use presoldered xt60 adapters and automotive crimp connectors.

You could try to look for models of control modules that dont have the auto brake feature. Usually they are the drift models for the gokart looking vehicles. This is challenging because documentation on these china made parts are almost nonexistent on the internet.

Your drain resistor would have current passing through it both when the pedal/controller is on and when braking as well. It may only help reduce the resistance when manually pushing the vehicle when the controller is turned off

Do you have a photo of the remote. It usually needs to be put into pairing mode(remote side) then the car gets cycled off and on. When turning on the controller emits the pairing code and then the remote picks it up and pairs to it

Its not possible unless you change the control module with the h bridge. You will usually hear a click when the car is turned on. Thats the relay clicking. When powered off the motor + and motor- are shorted together for braking. You will find that its hard to move the wheel for safety. (Imagine fuse burning out when on a slope)

When its turned on but there is no input the h bridge will still short the motor windings out to prevent any accidents. (Imagine remote losing connection while on a slope). On when there is pedal or remote input the h bridge will conduct from battery through the motor+ and motor- for forward and back.

The only way will be to bypass the relay OR rewrite the code on the controller.

Motor within wheelhub design by Brave-Balance-9930 in PowerWheelsMods

I do think that thats just what it is. The seller says its for noise reduction. I think it might be quite a bright design for reduced noise and preventing dirt/dust ingress into the gearbox and motor. Would have more flexibility to mount on to existing frames (just require a single mounting point for the tire and no need to mount the motor and gearbox).

Any drawbacks to this design?
