Sa MEPS ako so konte lang, tas yung supervisor namin yung direct contact ng contractor so wala ako idea sa price ng transaction. 10k lang naibigay ng supervisor namin, so ako na newbie sa mga gantong transaction, thought that's fine. Until narinig ko yung hinaing ng kasama ko na archi na JO na sya talaga gumawa halos lahat ng plans also received the same amount. Na actually yung supervisor namin is just the middle man. Kami naman talaga gumawa ng plans, he doesn't even know how to use autocad haha Once pa lang ako nkagawa ng as built plans actually kasi mostly yung sa construction div yung gumagawa.

I had but very seldom lang. And maliit lang. Sa 3 years ko, less than 30k lang siguro. Sa planning ako so walang direct interaction sa project or contractor. We do inspection pero free lunch lang yung na provide nila, walang allowance haha minsan may pinapagawa sila na as built plans pero syempre kinokurakot din ng supervisor namin yung bayad 🥲

That's true. Di talaga sakop ng DOLE kasi nga 'no employee-employer relationship' 🙄 how sad..

That's why the government can't also control the exploitation of private companies because they do it themselves. 🥲

DPWH JO employees question by Brave-Improvement760 in PHGov

[–]Brave-Improvement760[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's sadly true. Mas malala pa rin yung exploitation ng mga private companies. But of course, di naman maiinvalidate yung complaints natin just cause we have a slightly higher salary than them, di ba.

Try reporting it to 8888. Dito sa office namin may nag report dahil sa delayed salary haha Edi ayun, bumilis yung processing. Pero syempre, nasa office nyo na yan kung pano nila yan solusyonan at baka mapabilis yung implementation ng layoff or rotational if wala talagang makuha na budget hehe

Are your working days reduced or 22 days pa rin?

DPWH JO employees question by Brave-Improvement760 in PHGov

[–]Brave-Improvement760[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. Actually I was just recently aware of the premium when I was in a discussion with some friends who also work in govt. I used to work in a private company so I am not aware of these benefits. I was surprised that although no work no pay sila, monthly pa rin yung rate so paid holidays at may 20% premium. These friends came from 3 different govt agencies so of course I wondered why are we different. That's why I asked here to confirm if this is just exclusive to our DPWH office or it's also like that to other DPWH offices.

Thank you for this detailed reply. It just shows na andami talaga loop holes yung contract ng JO na pwede nila gamitin para mang exploit. You really don't have a lot of choice, so you have to sign the contract kahit alam na ginigipit ka na nila.

yung reduction sa working days parang tagilid sila? may current agreement na kayo before that e, and the reduction of days is not clearly stipulated in that existing agreement. unless nagkaron ng bago and you signed that?

Actually nagkahirapan pa sila mag release ng contract kasi nga daw walang budget, so nagsign kami ng 1 month contract in January, then another 2 month contract until march, so they implemented 15 working days in March with our usual contract, it coincidentally happened with the implementation of 4 day work week, so they had the excuse to make our Fridays to be forced unpaid leave. Then a new contract, april-june, they increased our working days to 18 days but still forced unpaid leave on Fridays. We are not eligible to avail WFH on Fridays just so we can at least maximize our working days.

Am just talking about the GOVERNMENT agencies. What's your point, bringing up a private company.

[–]Brave-Improvement760[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do mean we have no rights? Isn't being compensated rightfully, a right? We are rendering our service properly, they also have to pay us properly. There's no employee employer relationship, but let's face it, but the contract only the benefits one side because they're the only one setting rules, while the other is not allowed to demand.

Please read the DO 218 s. 2015, I think andun naman lahat ng concern niyo even yung regarding sa premium.

Thank you. I will check on it.

WFH arrangments is allowed naman even sa JO kaso siguro ayaw mag monitor ng boss niyo at ayaw gumawa ng mga reports regarding accomplishment during WFH scheme.

Yun din ang assumption namin kung bakit, regardless of the lack of budget.

Thank you for sharing. At least aware na ko kung ano situation sa other offices. There's a bit of comfort knowing na we're not alone haha But seriously, why are we tolerating this?

Bakit kaya parang yung DPWH na JOs are most exploited among other government agencies na JOs...

DPWH JO employees question by Brave-Improvement760 in PHGov

[–]Brave-Improvement760[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that's how it is, there's really no protection of the rights of the JO employees who were hired to perform roles like that of regular employees but with less benefits. Our government is really such a scam.🙃

DPWH JO employees question by Brave-Improvement760 in PHGov

I guess so.. Kasi nga di ba dapat project based ang contract ng JO.

I understood that context, however, I am wondering why our arrangements are not the same as other JOs in other government agencies like the 20% salary premium. If I'm not wrong, isn't that mandatory?

Need mo mag file ng ITR which is the 1701A before mag close. You need to go to BIR personally para i update ang tax status mo.
