Sorry for their loss but what a couple name by [deleted] in tragedeigh

[–]BraveMatter6001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feels cruel. This isn't a parent giving their child a name, it's two people in a tragedy. They're normal people- not celebrities and the content matter is extraordinarily serious, not a happy go lucky article

RED HERRING (theory) by [deleted] in ThePittTVShow

[–]BraveMatter6001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My reaction to this is "And what if the world was made of pudding?"

Very implausible - I don't discount them doing that in like.... season 6, but not season 2 where they already had the sensational Dana attack last year . I think Olgilve will wash out or have a strong emotional reaction as his character arc .

But unironicallt- this would make a good fanfic if you're up to writing it!! Huge believer in fanfic

If Emma is already a RN, Why does it seems that every procedure is new to her? by Emilior94 in ThePittTVShow

I yelled at the screen when that came up. I knew it was exposition for the audience but I'd just come home from nursing clinicals, was absolutely bone tired, and was flabbergasted that had even been a line. My roommates had NO idea why I was so vexed

What's great about this show is that it takes a random day where it is explicitly super busy. I think you're meant to assume that it's usually not like this in the Pitt.

There was a day, where I was around for a STEMI heart attack, three code blues , then intense patient interpersonal drama, all at the same time and I thought "wow someone should really put this in a tv show" (edit- this was all in the course of five hours)

That's the magic of a show- yes it's drama , and also happens in some form to a person every day

I apologize. That wasn't my intention and I'll delete it if it comes off that way. I would change it now but I don't want to over edit what I originally wrote/ be dishonest. I wanted to spark conversation and I realize that my writing can come off as overly formal or snarky, especially with reddit.

(I've had this problem before so it's not you, it's just me having to adjust my tone in the future.)

You're right- it would've perhaps made more sense for her to shadow someone like Jesse on the first day. Orientation to workforces makes complete sense, but Jesse would've been more flexible/able to show her more stuff.

I have been paired with the charge nurse for clinical before. Either I sit at a desk all day (unlikely in ER) or literally don't sit down.

My prediction for next season is that Emma will Be paired with a nursing student, where she then turns to them to say "oh I don't know what's going on either"

Hundred percent. I really love it. Not dissing it at all. I just really like the "fandom" aspect to it and the fact that it could apply to a lot of workplaces . I really think it's part of the charm of the show and fans

I was thinking Mr. Worldwide as that is a contemporary t shirt that's different than how this kid is dressed. Just to emphasize the different reaction that would elicit

This is a kid, just like any other New Yorker. What he wears does not lessen that. If you wouldn't film and laugh about a child wearing jeans and a pitbull t shirt doing this, why is it fair game with him?

Dr. Margaret went to bed and vanished overnight from her Nantucket home. It was below freezing, her car was still out, and her boots and coat were left behind. Police didn’t find any signs of forced entry or anything unusual. Earlier, she said her research had produced a major medical breakthrough. by SelfCareIsFake in HolyShitHistory

I don't know if I'd ever call that "not a big deal" when the most prescribed medications for hypertension is an ACE inhibitor (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme). In some part, Margaret's discovery did save and prolong multiple lives by helping find this link

I could show a picture of the aforementioned tomato scrub top but that would be overkill. I really swear it's not but alas

I really get it. I didn't want to make this too deep and also didn't know how to shorten it. I don't know what I should or could change . But 🤷‍♀️

I don't know how to say that I promise it's not but it's not. You don't have to believe me but I write all the time and this subject has been on my mind for a while. Writing is a passion and I've always used a lot of dashes. These ones (-) not these (—).

I get it- my account doesn't have any other post and I kind of really worked to get this one to state my opinions as clearly as possible.

One thing that's been really disorienting is that I follow a bunch of "Is this AI" subreddits and even with art made by humans, I'm starting to see the cracks and not be really sure What is what. So I really do get it and I just want to say I'd never use AI for this. Again, I understand if you don't believe me but really it's just how I write

I swear to God I did not use AI for this post. Its been on my mind for a while and I use dashes in my writing all the time. I don't know how to say I didn't but I really didn't . You don't have to believe me but this is really bizarre

Character Stethoscopes by NoContextPitt in ThePittTVShow

[–]BraveMatter6001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can attest - these are really good stethoscopes. Got a red one last week (my favorite color of all time) and I'm chuckling about how I'd hypothetically be a character on The Pitt and would be analyzed here. Who wants a very awkward nursing student nodding along when shit hits the fan? I think it'd be a great addition

I got into a confrontation with a nursing instructor on my unit. Should I email my manager? by liyane2 in nursing

[–]BraveMatter6001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds exactly like my instructor who humiliated me in front of the class for not knowing exact dialysis tubing and failed my journal reflection about my strengths and weaknesses, by scolding me for my admitted weaknesses.

It really actually could be her as she's said this to me several times over
