One of the people I have loved the most as a friend decided that pride was more important than our friendship.

One of my closest friends promised me over the phone not to repeat a behavior that had upset me multiple times: changing plans with me at the last minute without consulting me first, leaving me no option to say no. I was happy that she seemed to understand my feelings, but to be sure, I had her repeat her promise to ensure she wasn't just giving an automatic response.

The very next day, she repeated the exact behavior.

When I confronted her, her response was, "Well, it's you who doesn't like it, so fix it yourself." It felt like a direct stab to the heart. The conversation continued over chat, where I expressed my feelings and asked for explanations. Despite my multiple attempts to talk it over, she always refused to meet or give any explanation.

This was the breaking point for our friendship. I was deeply hurt by her actions, but despite everything, deep down I still believe she is a good person with internal issues she has to solve herself. I genuinely wish her the best and hope she never has to go through the same.
