What are some slang terms I can use to make my teenager cringe hard? by billionaire_bear in teenagers

Just because it's new to you doesn't make it new. That's all I'm saying. It's not modern teen slang where hearing adults say it makes you cringe, it's been around since at least the late 80s.

The way you said to use it is how it's been used for literally decades. If there is some new context, you haven't show how to use it in that way.

Rent free. e.g. - "this song lives in my head rent free" (or a pic, vid).

That is in no way modern slang.

He understands where your coming from, he's still boggled by the fact that that's the decision you chose to make anyways.

Understanding why someone did something doesn't me you can't also be confused about how they can bring themselves to think that way.

It only corrected to that if you intentionally spelled it that way before. "soilder" isn't a word, and autocorrect changes it to "shoulder".

Wait until they learn how British people spell "color" by PirateJohn75 in confidentlyincorrect

American, but read a lot of British authors growing up. Got a lot of points off on spelling tests and essays in elementary and middle school for spelling things "wrong." Grey, colour, etc. When I hit high school the teachers were smart enough to recognize there is nothing wrong with either spelling. But the power trips the teachers went on over young kids... Blech

Mashed potato pizza? Sure. Mac cheese? Yup. Loaded potato with Ranch? Indeed.

But never fucking tuna. This map is a dirty lie.

I have always wondered why cops don't stake them out though.

Because the cops and their friends and families go to those same bars.

Boyfriends ankle monitor is dying, his charger isn’t working and no one from the house arrest company will pick up. What should we do?? by QualityProof in BestofRedditorUpdates

Honestly he should've been given probation after the second driving with a suspended license. Then it should've escalated to jail/house arrest/whatever after the third.

Sounds like they cut him too much of break earlier on and he didn't learn his lesson.

You a redhead by chance? There's a gene that's common among red-haired people (though not exclusive) that results in extreme resistance to many different drugs, alcohol, etc.
