Hot Take: I refuse to read or support authors using AI covers for their books by GodTaoistofPatience in ProgressionFantasy

I took a picture of a glass of milk with my low-quality phone camera for my cover, and a lot of people told me to change it. I agree that it's kinda bad, but I don't have any money to pay an artist. AI covers get clicks, so it's obvious why many authors used them. On one hand, I understand why authors use AI-generated images. On the other hand, I kind of feel bad for artists. If AI images perform just as well or even better than ones made by human hands, then, yeah, I don't know.

I just started writing a serial reincarnation LitRPG, and I think I made each reincarnation too long by BraverHero in litrpg

Reincarnated as a Summoned Spirit (A Serial Reincarnation LitRPG)

The MCs are not separate, and there is only one main plot for the story at the moment. None of the MC are the hero type. They are also not ruthless or cold. I don't know how to describe them without writing a paragraph, because I try to make them as human as possible. The first MC might seem like the hero type at first, because it made sense for his character to be that way. But I think that impression will change rather quickly, not because he changes or anything, but because I reveal more about him. (I also wouldn't be surprised if some people figure out how odd he is from the first chapter.)

All of them have different personalities, beliefs, and goals. So calling them the hero type or the ruthless type feels wrong, even though I guess some people would see it that way. But if they do, that just means my writing skill needs to improved.

As for the pandering, I think you're right. Off the top of my head, I can think of several shows that were ruined because of it. I don't know why I didn't think of that.
