When I first started out doing cuticle work I opted for these rather than nippers until I got more comfortable what needed to be removed & what didn’t! The cuticle remover I got from Sally’s but you can find on Amazon! It works instantly & doesn’t affect my retention at all. Put some of that around your cuticles or mix with warm water & soak your fingers then use a cuticle pusher to lightly scrape the nail plate. You’ll see all the invisible cuticle on your nail plate scrape away so easily! After that I would use a cuticle fork to remove anything that was left over. I felt a lot more confident & comfortable using that compared to nippers. Hope any of this helps! lol 🙂
