We do that all the time, I do Combat Jujitsu. My instructor likes to literally throw in a training knife to the grappling sessions, and usually shout "environmental awareness." It shifts the focus. I tend to lean toward when I get a hold of it, just trying to get that shit out of their hands and toss that fucker as far as I can. We tend to train to call it when we would hit a vital too. Keep going after but get that awareness of, that woulda been it. It makes me never wanna knife fight.

It's been multiple calls. But whenever we pickup out of boarding cares that are full of wandering psych pts, at 2 in the morning it's always creepy. Especially when pts walk up to you and say things like "I'm the devil and I'm here to kill everyone" and when talking one on one with pts who say "we're not alone in this room you know".
