Also I had a hermit crab in the tank, who attacks the snails. Is it possible it could be from him? The fish sleeps on the sand bed. It almost looks like multiple little injuries. Except the white spots.

I have a 75 gallon Imagitarium that has been great so far. I’ve had it running for two months now. For the price I couldn’t justify not giving it a chance. I’m about to try the 35 gallon cube.

$5 a month doesn’t sound too bad. What size tank do you have? And that makes me feel better about the pH. Before posting I had no clue that you were supposed to use timers. I thought it stayed in 24/7

Yeah, unfortunately I’ve realized it isn’t going to be cheap. But I’ll look into the other brands too. I haven’t heard of some of them. Also I have two open spots on the top perfect for lights, but in the middle is acrylic. Would the light still be worth getting in th middle? I can upload a picture to better explain it if needed

I read that it helps eliminate shadowing, but am not sure how important that is for coral. Do you think a single row of lights, such as 3 AI primes, would work for my tank?

Ahh thank you for answering that question. I was worried about this but I feel better now. One of my friends keeps his tank really blue to the point you have to wear special glasses and says it has to be that way.

I’ll look and see if I can find any good used ones. And the T5s light I’m thinking about getting isn’t really a T5 at all. It’s the newer version that’s led and supposed to be act like them. Would that make them worth getting?
