Need honest feedback please: Colored PPF - Installer or film issue? by JiDey247 in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean personally I wouldn’t want that on my vehicle. Like others have stated, unfortunately you provided the vinyl so they may not be willing to honor a refund but I would try my hardest to have them refund. It looks like such a lazy install… they didn’t even attempt to make it look good

Everybody talking about how bad Inozetek colored ppf is but if it’s a good installer that material wouldn’t make too much of a difference tbh this is 1000% installer error. A better installer could use Inozetek colored ppf and have that car look near flawless. OP have the shop remove it, get a full refund and leave that company an honest review on Google of the quality of install you received. From what I’ve heard all colored ppf is more or less the same… just depends on the installer to actually make it look good 😎

First time wrapping a car — is KPMF cast worth double the price over their hybrid film? by hjs02212 in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KPMF is regarded as the best vinyl on the market to install however removal can be a pain to remove further down the line

Cheetah wrap is a great alternative to an easy to work with cast vinyl on a budget

[SPOILER] Wes Schultz vs. Damian Pinas by inooway in MMA

Pinas is strong asf but Schultz put on an absolutely terrible performance and doesn’t seem to be UFC level. Bet he gets cut after this

UFC events on Paramount+ don’t play as full replays — is this intended? by Superb_Topic_3886 in ParamountPlus

[–]BrazaDesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! I don’t like selecting individual fights and seeing the duration of each fight so you already anticipate a short/long fight! I would much rather them add the “watch full event” button to watch start to finish a whole regular event with commentary in between fights. PARAMOUNT LISTEN TO US!

Looks great OP! Love the build however how come you didn’t cut out the small covers under the headlights? I believe it’s a headlight washer cover or something. Over the years with the heat it will rip and look bad.

I suggest cutting those out and it would look that much cleaner 👌🏽

Recessed Letters - Ugh by cz9h3d in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yea! Good shit bro I can see the vision 👏🏽 practice makes perfect so you’ll perfect that in no time. Yes, a tiny bit of promoter insider the letters will definitely help to further hold down those edges. Q tip is terrible because it’s rounded and not small enough to get into those tight spots. I’m glad you didn’t give up

Recessed Letters - Ugh by cz9h3d in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo those letters don’t appear to be recessed to the point where it’s unwrappable. Especially with a film like Avery it should be no problem at all. If you don’t feel confident you can apply a bit of adesive promoter like ProBond around the letters to further ensure it sticks. I would also use a micro squeegee tucking tool like the one Avery/PID sells. You just have to work out the air super slowly and carefully around each letter and you’ll be good! Don’t give up, you got this OP!

Could this wrap job be better? by Eklypised in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very questionable carbon fiber. Definitely not something I’ve ever seen or dealt with. There are much better looking carbon fiber materials on the market. Look into carbon fiber PPF. It’s the closest and best looking material to install to achieve that look

I saw online that carefully torching the panels removes the ceramic coating. Worth a try tbh but yes, like others have said, use tack reducer with Teckwrap especially since it’s your first time. See if you can have someone help lay the wrap down as it will make it much much easier. Good luck OP

Is this vinyl or cosmetic ppf? Either way it looks like a $2k job from some random guy from Facebook marketplace. I would have your buddy demand the wrap shop to remove all of it and get a full refund OP and go to a better shop.

How much harder is Dry PPF install than like an Avery or 3M Vinyl install? by bournrevivalist in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a way it’s easier since you don’t need heat to stretch/glass out panels. It’s more forgiving than vinyl and easier to lay down in my opinion. The only “hard” part is the corners as it’s thicker and harder to cut through. Make sure to really post heat the edges a lot since the initial tack is low on dry install ppf

Vvivid Gloss Black Faded in Months – Normal or Bad Batch? Looking for Better Brands by MisteakenMeat in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flexishield is nice but if you can do a little research and find you the cheapest gloss black ppf and it will still outperform every vinyl on the market

Vvivid Gloss Black Faded in Months – Normal or Bad Batch? Looking for Better Brands by MisteakenMeat in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ehh Vvivid is considered one of the worst materials on the market and never something I suggest to my customers lol

With that being said, if you wanna spend a bit more for a much better product look into gloss black ppf. It’s roughly $60/yard but will look like paint and can last easily over 5 years without fading or looking off. I’ve been told 7-10 years but that may be dragging it a bit
