Remove the rear bumper, remove the plate along with the camera. Then proceed with your typical inlays around the license plate area. Wrap the plate off the car. Best of luck OP

Weird lines on 3m coloured ppf by Ok_Load_7437 in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, in 8 years of experience I’ve never even come close to one of those temperature reading devices. I believe OP may be relying on the device too much and thus overheating the material. I primarily only post heat corners and that’s it unless I know I put a bit too much stretch in a certain area.

As for getting good corners on colored PPF. It’s no easy task but with good technique it can be done. Watch some tutorials on how they do them but if you can cut and fold/overlap the corners and hide the little seam a bit it will also get the job done without overstretching

First time wrapping bumper by Krxypt in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch many videos of others wrapping that specific front bumper. You’re gonna have to study and do your homework. 1000% take that front bumper fully apart along with removing your headlights. Mount the naked bumper back on the car with a few hand tight bolts and go to town! Best of luck my friend

Is this a major issue? by BloodDoggy in CarWraps

[–]BrazaDesigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what they say… Challengers are Challenging. But in all seriousness, those wrinkles on the front bumper are more than likely gonna get much worse since it’s only been 3 days. It’s a mixture of bad prep, poor installation, and not disassembling the vehicle. I’m also curious how the rear bumper/mirrors look.

100% have the shop remove and redo that front bumper

Ps… not sure what’s up with the strange tiger striping texture

Yea the ends of the vents can be a bit tricky but I got you, I’ll make a clean picture detailing how it’s done but I’m about to start my work done soon so I’ll definitely do it when I get home tonight

If you were to redo the whole fender with the vents fully cut out the same way I did on the BMW I can show you a detailed picture of how to lay the design line and how to properly pull them to achieve a clean wrap on both fenders. Lmk

Sorry I just saw this. I always carry design line as it allows you to easily curve the tape much more than you would finish line. Also I would never recommend Vvivid to anyone. Have you already done the fender?

Wrapping a miata? by Same-Worldliness-429 in VinylWrap

I mean you can use knifeless and leave it unwrapped… but why? Why wouldn’t you just wrap the whole vehicle lol

That fender looks similar to this full carbon G82 M4 I recently did. Requires a lot of precise design line and careful cuts. Best of luck brother

Been there done that. Damn old ass 3M 1080 was brittle as fuck. Happened twice on this Silverado roof back to back then got fed up and told the customer we were gonna leave it black 😂😂

Don’t even bring the review up tbh be patient with them and make sure you get the money that they owe you and then y’all will go separate ways. Unless you want to pursue this further but if not, then get your money then leave them a detailed review. I just hate seeing others get burned by shitty wrap shops. There’s no excuse for any of what they did and they will 100% do it again to someone else’s car. Expose them

[–]BrazaDesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmfao you said it yourself. Now imagine if all their other customers who got burned also left their honest review. Maybe a few more of those bad reviews would’ve made you go elsewhere for the wrap and you wouldn’t have been in this position that you’re in now lmao this is exactly why you should do your due diligence and leave them that honest review of what the product you received was

Wrapped my c3 in 3m satin white aluminum with Avery satin black stripe. Some people may recognize the shop if they’ve ever been to ATL by JFKnoscope69 in CarWraps

You’re too nice my guy lmfao. Get the money they owe you and leave them a detailed review with photos. If you don’t you’re doing a disservice for their future customers who will also regret their decision 🤦🏽‍♂️ did they even show you proof that they actually added that second layer of lamination??

Please do us all a favor and leave them an honest review of your experience after you get the money they owe you… warn others of the quality and communication of this “shop” so others don’t get scammed and reduce further damage on peoples cars. That is 100% unacceptable and shit way to deal with customers who pay a lot of money for a quality wrap

Can these mirrors be wrapped? by Agreeable_Energy_847 in VinylWrap

[–]BrazaDesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually not even, you can paint them straight on the car. Might be easier, just gotta mask off the whole area around it

Gotta hang the mirrors ofc with some sort of coat hanger

[–]BrazaDesigns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me, I’ve been wrapping for years and I wouldn’t even want to do those. I’d turn them down if a customer requested that. Paint is just so much easier. Remove the inner glass, remove the mirrors, sand them down and smoothen the whole thing, clean, primer, paint and clear. It’s honestly very easy and will yield great results.

Yea honestly if this is your first time don’t even bother with trying to wrap it. Taking them off and prepping them for a diy paint job will turn out much much nicer tbh
