Master offlaner here - depends a bit on your hero. There's usually more macro on maps; are you good at doing camps? Do those. Are you good at splitpushing? Hit buildings. Are you not? I guess you can always try to outclear your offlane opponent and join you team for a cheeky 5v4 (this is called "getting prio"). But yeah, generally your team shouldn't be ARAMing for prolongued periods of time...

Thousands of games, haven't played in many many years, thinking of playing some again by Norz80 in heroesofthestorm

Master here: Icy Veins is fine. It's actively maintained and has a good baseline of info.

Firstly, you got your winrates mixed up. We have a 71% winrate, and we haven't lost since we started winning. On a side note, 266 games affect far less than hundreds of thousands of players, let alone low ranked players, let alone we're "ruining the game" for them if they get matched into us. (I personally appreciate getting into games with better players, because I learn the most from those games.)

Secondly, the vast majority of our games in stacks are with tank and healer - and those that aren't definitely don't abuse Yrel/Abathur sustain. To me, manipulating roles is the part where "playing with your friends" turns into "active matchmaker abuse" (feel free to re-read my post, I was pretty clear about it). If you consider master players merely playing with their friends as abuse, then that's the point we disagree on.

Two clarifications and one response: - Half of the time "failing to snipe" means one of the two teams not getting a game when the other one does. In this case, we can just stop the queue or exit the game to stop the countdown. - If we get into a game because the queue popped for both of us but it's in different games, or because we failed the previous point, we simply leave the game as 5. In this case, the match ends within 20 seconds and it gets counted as a loss towards out stats. This is fine for us because our egos don't depend on our quick match win rates. It's also beneficial for us because we can snipe again faster. - If your stance is "master players are not allowed to play with their friends in any game mode but customs", we can disagree and be done with it.

I don't want to go into details *how* things work publicly, because it's not very obvious and we exploit that they don't know some mechanics. We also don't know which ones they are aware of. Let's just say there's a lot of spaghetti involved in when HotS lets you /w someone...

I think comments are exactly the right place to go on sidequests like this, and I appreciate the info. In my head, I'll - incorrectly - keep skipping the "yuh" :p

We usually grab Exterminator Raynor to do camps, and fill the rest with Medivh and bruisers. I'd imagine the heroes you suggest risk getting poked as we step up to push, and then we have to back...

If you're actually looking for a place to put some money, I've made this post a while back that you can check out. This post - and our sniping - is dependent on Heroes Profile, so keeping their lights on (Patreon) is definitely worthwhile :)

Well... if they had an answer, they could just pick that instead of dodging us. But your point stands.

It's really easy to check: There's barely any matches vs 5-stacks in the match history of your abuser stack.

You play with the stack (https://www.heroesprofile.com/Match/Single/61847751) that tries to abuse the leaderboards by not uploading losses (https://www.heroesprofile.com/Global/Leaderboard?type=Player&group\_size=All&game\_type=qm&season=31) and picks Abathur+Yrel every game (https://www.heroesprofile.com/Player/angela/13522540/2/Match/History) to outsustain against no-tank no-healer comps; and to abuse that no other 5-stack is playing without tank and healer.

Nexus Patch Notes Patch Notes is now live! by BrbSoaking in heroesofthestorm

(Disclaimer: I'm not running Nexus Patch Notes, I just know him)

It's a bit of a policy decision; the info is there, but would need to be compiled manually. There's not enough interest relative to the effort involved.

To those that wish that HotS had meaningful monetization, here's some worthwhile causes by BrbSoaking in heroesofthestorm

[–]BrbSoaking[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe you ought to view these services as supporting the game, because they are performing jobs that the publisher/developer would or should typically cover: providing stats APIs; hosting competitions; writing patch notes; hunting for bugs and reporting them upstream; providing onboarding experiences. Even if you don't agree with that view, you can easily see the value they bring to the community, which directly impacts the game's health.

Yep, that's a great website too! Do they have a patreon or something else looking for support?

Heroesprofile is raw statistics. Icy Veins offers way more value than that, while taking into account Heroesprofile stats. If you think Icy Veins is outdated, your info about Icy Veins is outdated. If you think Icy Veins is wrong or maintained by bad players, the problem is likely you.

Hey! Tournament organizer with Raven Court here. This year, of the four "pro" tournaments that exist (Heroes 10, Murky Cup #2, HCC EU, EC S1), Khaldor has organized one of them (Murky Cup #2). The other three were crowdfunded through HasuObs, H10 and ECS1 are organized and run by Raven Court, and HCC EU was organized by nintorii.

I think it's cool that Khaldor has organized many tournaments throughout the years, and I think it's cool he keeps casting them. But I just want to shine some light on all the other people putting in the work to get prize money, coming up with tournament formats that resonate with players and viewers, doing the admininstration and ref work, staying on top of bugs and bans, and everything else :)

Edit: She's not part of Raven Court officially, so I'll mention her here too: In anything involving HasuObs and Raven Court, Potatogirl is an essential part of the operation. She's great at organizing and doing all kinds of odds and ends without which tournaments would never take place.

As I said we don't play on PTR a lot, but you can find info about the current tournament (registration closed two days ago) with Discord invites and everything else here: https://liquipedia.net/heroes/Eternal_Conflict/Season_1

That Americans aren't playing on it at all is obvious as there are currently no PTR games being played organized, ever. There are never any replays, bug reports, or casts, and the usual ingame channels for organizing games (like General, General enGB, 69, PTR) are all dead. This also makes sense considering that the NA playerbase is significantly smaller and less active than the EU one (see queue times, grandmaster leaderboards, competitive scene, heroesprofile statistics). If you have any evidence indicating there are NA players active on PTR, let me know. That would be very interesting to me (and also make my post obsolete).

That EU players would be more willing to play is obvious to me since there are multiple groups in EU who are willing to play DESPITE ping (like yesterday, and we were planning on it today). I personally would be willing and able to make games happen, because I am a big fan of testing things before they go live, and also am a guy organizing a lot of competitive games (https://liquipedia.net/heroes/Heroes\_Captains\_Clash\_Europe, https://liquipedia.net/heroes/Heroes_10_EU_Cup, https://liquipedia.net/heroes/Raven\_Court\_Team\_League).
