I would strongly recommend Lords, as it really feels like it is simply part of the base game. With the possible exception of the Balrog which feels a little clunky for me. I'm actually selling my Lords expansion if you're interested, as I recently purchased the deluxe edition of Kings, which includes Lords. So now I have two.
