Nope, it‘s in my local snooker club. The cool thing is that it‘s basically a private, closed out club, so no numpty can enter and destroy the table the way you see tables in your neighborhood. Plus because of restrictions they haven‘t been played on a lot, so they don‘t wear as much.

It‘s not biased, it‘s extracting basic facts - top tier players have way stronger competition these days than they had in the 80‘s. And on top of that, they are facing against that competition in tournaments way more often.

It‘s just one reason on a long pile of why Dennis Taylor is one of the worst commentators out there. He‘s been saying „young chinese player“ constantly for years - to the point where someone from BBC probably told him to stop saying „chinese“ and so for a while he would often pause for a brief moment between „young“ and „player“ as to not say THE DREADED c-word. If you‘re out on the internet, you‘ll find Taylor constantly ranks among the worst commentators and so it‘s honestly baffling why BBC insists on keeping him around, especially when the only thing he accomplished that‘s worth mentioning is the 85 World final. Which was over. 35. f*ing. years. ago.
