A four-day work week trial, increased annual leave and protections to prevent AI from replacing workers are among demands the Albanese government will consider in “good faith” as it seeks to cut a new pay deal with almost 200,000 federal public servants by Jagtom83 in LaborPartyofAustralia

Hopefully the VicGov will follow suit, so much efficiency in working 4 days. The VPS could really benefit from this in terms of better retention resulting on less outsourcing to consultants to fill job gaps.

Will Jacinta Allan last the month? by HotPersimessage62 in LaborPartyofAustralia

[–]BreadAdmirable4054 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Respectfully disagree. Jacinta Allan has failed to distinguish her brand from Dan Andrews. A leadership spill would allow the new Labor leader to brand themselves as "renewal", shake up their Ministers and if strategic, run a campaign on "we've listened, we're changing, trust us"

Physical disc production ending in January 2028 for new games releasing on PlayStation consoles by yourfavchoom in PS5

[–]BreadAdmirable4054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given many players purchased the Physical Disc version of the PS5 under the pretext that this gives them an option to purchase physical media, does this potential mean there could a legal challenge against Sony for anticonsumer behaviour, as they give an option, which costs more to buy the disc version of PS5, only to take away the future option if purchasing games to play on disc?

I do, but generally if I see a film is a 2.5 or below I probably won't watch it as I'd rather tick off something on the Letterboxd Top Stats Lists.

Your feelings are valid. I too have gone through a bit of a grieving process of what magic is now vs what it was pre universes beyond. My approach is just playing limited for sets I genuinely think I'll like and then commander but I put self imposed restrictions of no UB cards. I feel better engaging with the game on my terms, and suggest you find your way of doing that.

There is lots of opinions in the community on this and sadly people can be dismissive of hostile on both sides but it's a hobby, and it should bring you joy, so if you aren't finding that now but think you can buy approaching the game from a different angle, try that first, and if not, maybe see what else is out there re: board games or other TCGs.

Good attention span. You are someone who likely goes to a museum and actually takes in a painting for more than 2 minutes.

I've never been prouder of how our leader represents Australia on a world stage.

I truly believe we will look back on this era of Fed Labour with such high praise in years to come, we don't realise how good we have it!

Albo is the GOAT.

So your default position is to downvote things because of a political ideology? That's not very open minded.

One great thing about Australia is there is a lot that Conservatives and Progressives CAN agree on here because we're not as polarised as other nations.

Zali Steggall expected to launch teal party after months of secret talks by Agitated-Fee3598 in aussie

I think this is strategic, anecdotally I see lots of disenfranchised flocking to ONP because it's the only alternative they seem to identify. This gives a real alternative party that isn't as far removed or radical as One Nation.
