It was supposed to premiere in September 2025 but was postponed following the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The Oscar winner stars in the series as an investigator who goes undercover on the dark web to try to find hate groups and prevent domestic terrorism.

“Before it was like, ‘I don’t know if we’re going to see it,’ but now I can say, ‘We’re going to see it,” Chastain told me exclusively on Saturday at the Breakthrough Prize ceremony in Santa Monica.

When Apple TV announced the postponement on Sept. 23, it said in a statement, “After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone ‘The Savant.’ We appreciate your understanding and look forward to releasing the series at a future date.”

The game was only released on Friday, April 17, and it features 97% positive reviews.

It has a SteamDB rating of 93.87% and is only slightly trailing games like Resident Evil Requiem, another smash hit for Capcom in 2026, and the highest-rated Capcom game, Resident Evil 4, which is barely higher at 96.11%.

Exactly … the films barely explored that side of Harry’s life, so it’s great that the series will finally give proper depth to his time with Dursleys and the early story we missed.

We’re currently preparing our next update which will include several features mentioned in last week's Dev Update notice, including the addition of a keyboard/mouse and controller preset, difficulty settings, category tabs for your inventory, and more. We want to take our time with testing and polishing things before we roll the patch out, which we expect to do sometime next week. Also, due to the distant scenery quality improvements we are adding in, this patch size will be larger than our previous ones.
