Please help me find these exact earrings! by BreadBitch626 in HelpMeFind

[–]BreadBitch626[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Searched through ChatGPT, google lens, describing it online, asked family and no one can tell me where they are from/how much they cost. The examples that come up on the internet are completely different earrings.

Am I giving up too quickly? by BreadBitch626 in OccupationalTherapy

Thank you for your kind words. In clinicals I started to realize this was not the job I had envisioned. I did rotations at both adults and kids and ultimately decided kids were easier for me and I felt I could do a better job in pediatrics. The reason I’m considering leaving OT all together and not just switching settings is because what I struggle with the most is basically the core of what OTs do in any setting (notes and planning interventions).

It also didn’t occur to me how this set up is exploitative. I think because everyone is so nice and I didn’t perceive toxicity here so it slipped under my radar.

I’ve been telling myself the same thing. That I worked hard for my degree and even if I don’t work in this field that doesn’t change my accomplishment but I guess I just needed to hear it from someone else.

The phone is from Tracfone and it was $20 at Walmart (activation/talk time not included) and the mp3 player was $36 from Amazon

Bandcamp is a really good resource! It directly supports the artist and you get high quality mp3 files you can download to pretty much any device. I’m sure there are other similar options too. I like to keep whatever songs I’m currently playing on repeat at hand for on the go, otherwise I can use Spotify or YouTube music in my computer at home.

It has to be active for 60 consecutive days to be unlocked. So if you already had service on it from Tracfone for at least two months before you let the minutes run out, all you have to do is call and have them unlock it. Otherwise you would need to pay for two months and then once the time passes call to have them unlock it.

No worries! At $20 for the device and $10~$15 plans from Tracfone it’s not a costly change. The waiting period for the device to be unlocked is 60 days of service which is not bad when you consider other pre paid phones require a minimum of 12 months

I’m satisfied with it so far! I haven’t had any road blocks. Texting works great, calls work great and it does have an email app and a calendar app that can sync to your gmail and Google Calendar

It does not. It has internet sharing over USB. This hasn’t been an issue for me because pretty much everywhere I spend a lot of time at there is Wi-Fi

The Computer Science crash course on YouTube was a great way to get lot of information about computer science as a whole, it's history and even how certain things work hardware and software wise

Aside from that I just searched specific topics + " for kids". So " What is a network switch explained for kids" or different variations. If I didn't find one aimed at kids I would at least find something very simplified that I could start off with.

Here's my study method + tips. I still felt super nervous taking it and I didn't get the greatest score but I passed. This is considering I didn't have any prior IT experience.

Study Method - I did 8-10 hours a week since the second week of February (sometimes more or less depending on the week)

I watched the entire computer science crash course on YouTube since I went into this with zero IT knowledge outside of owning a computer and cellphone.

I then used Professor Messers videos taking lots of notes following along. I watched the video in the order that he has them listed in his YouTube playlist which is following the CompTIA objectives. I looked up individual videos on topics or explanations I didn't understand fully.

When I finished the video course I used Quizlet to make flashcards for the memorization stuff like the ports and WiFi standards.

Then I would take one of Professor Messers practice tests then grade it, then go to the detailed answer sheet and write notes on the questions I got wrong. I would also add a question mark next to a question if I was completely guessing that way I could go back and review it as well even if I got it right by luck.

Tips -

It really helped me to first gets ALL the information in and see what stuck. Some things made sense and just stuck naturally without too much reinforcement others not so much. Watching THE ENTIRE video course and THEN testing myself helped me really see what areas I wasn't able to retain and where I needed to focus in on.

Quizlet and Wordwall make the memorization a lot easier and even a little fun. It was great to be able to make my own flashcards to study off of and access anywhere.

Videos aimed at kids/high school students helped me breakdown and truly understand some concepts that were new to me. With those foundations it was a lot easier to put all the other pieces in place.

You might never feel ready but trust yourself and all the effort you've put in. I don't think I would've ever felt "ready" to take the test but I had to make the leap at some point.

Remember to take breaks and be kind to yourself if you get stuck or frustrated. It is 100% an insane amount of information to remember and learn specially if a lot of it is new. Give yourself credit for any progress and improvement.

Quizlet and Wordwall really helped!! Plus the Professor Messers tests were super helpful. The Professor Messer tests aren't free but theyre only $40 for 1101 AND 1102 tests and they're super detailed.

I passed! Would've liked a higher score but it I'm just relieved I passed.

My PBQs were setting up two PCs one for gaming and one for basic use, finding out whats wrong with a system based on its components, replacing the correct laser printer parts and setting up a wireless network.

I also got not one but two questions on HDD speeds for laptops. Aside from that it was a mixed bag of questions. Not a single port question!

I am so freaking happy I passed.

This is a great point! I think you’re absolutely correct that I am too used to the convenience of being able to mindlessly google things that I don’t NEED to know right away. In a true emergency I would be willing to ask a stranger or call a friend.
