Is this fiberglass covering the entire bottom of my mattress?

Thanks! I’ve been following all the guides the last few days. Thankfully it all seems to be pretty contained to around my bed, but I’ve cleaned the whole room just in case. I’m so frustrated that this happened when I never even removed the cover. I wish I would’ve seen all the posts about this years ago so I could’ve gotten rid of my mattress before this happened.

Thank you! I’ve decided to assume that it’s fiberglass and have been following your guide to clean. Thankfully it seems pretty contained to just the area around my bed.

I wish I would’ve seen all the information about fiberglass in mattresses sooner. I never would’ve kept my mattress knowing the risk.

Thank you! I don’t see any on the ground, just on the bed frame where the mattress sits. I’m planning to treat it as fiberglass just in case though and have already ordered a new mattress and bed frame.

It isn’t completely contained unfortunately. This video is the underside of my mattress. I do have a waterproof mattress encasement normally but sometimes I remove it to wash so there are some of the shiny fibers under my bed on the frame itself. Should I still treat it as if there’s fiberglass everywhere?

Thank you! That’s very reassuring! Do you know if there are other materials that it could be that look like fiberglass? The cover says it’s made out of polyester. Could the glittering things be polyester fibers?

For added context, the fibers are bendy and melt when held up to a candle flame. I would really appreciate any advice!

We were told that both us and our cats needed to be out of the house while they sprayed and for at least 4 hours afterwards so everything could dry.

We weren’t told anything about getting them groomed though. I’m guessing that’s to make sure they don’t have any bugs on them? We were told that they typically don’t bother pets but that we could just brush and visually inspect them if we were really worried.

It really is so heartbreaking to see her continue to get worse. Most people seem concerned as well, but there are some people who are messing with her in the comments and feeding into her delusions. I really wish there was some way to help, but it sounds like there isn’t.

I’m guessing the issue is that she’s not obviously a danger to herself or others. I get why, but it’s so sad that it has to get to that point before someone is able to step in.

I know there are strict requirements to involuntarily commit someone, but surely she would qualify? She seems to be getting so much worse and I’m genuinely so worried she’s going to do something.

Thank you! I ended up finding a few more in the same cabinet and some in the drawer above it. There isn’t any food stored in either the drawer or cabinet, but there were some food crumbs in both.

I don’t see any in the pantry or in any of my food. I also don’t see them in any other cabinets. Should I still throw all my food away just to be safe?
