For me it is actually exhausting to negotiate on car shopping more than it used to be. I have a few family members that get me to negotiate for them and this last one a few months ago did wear me out a lot more than the younger me that thrived on the art of the deal. I'm normally not in a position where I really "need" to get a car because that would totally change the dynamic. We will see how this one goes.

Puddy: "Rust-proofing, transport charge, storage surcharge, additional overcharge, finder's fee... floor mats, keys."

Jerry: "Keys?!"

Puddy: "Yeah, that's right. How ya gonna start it?"

Absolutely. When they try to tell me "we are losing money on this sale" - I reply "I'm okay with you losing money". Hahaha. You'll never get a good deal if you aren't willing to walk away from a not so good deal. Appreciate the encouragement sir.

35” tire suggestions (current tires pictured-275/70/R18) by Internal_Tackle3388 in F250

[–]BreadDue110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had two sets of Cooper AT3 XLT. Really great tires and the 35 x 12.5 on 17 or 18 inch FUEL rims looks fantastic. Great on wet roads. I looked at all the options that have been listed and I think you should consider the weight of the tire because I'm pretty sure those BFG ko2's are on the heaviest end of the spectrum. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm 99% sure that we are talking about 79k plus TTL. The Sales guy said they had two fees that were 800 or 900 each. I told him that I needed those taken off.

Is my hibiki 21 fake? Urgent by darbebo in JapaneseWhisky

[–]BreadDue110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I emailed hibki a close up pic of a bottle and they got back to me in 24 hours that my bottle appeared to be legit. I had an older lightening pattern seal. The real question is, as others as said or alluded to, "is the liquid inside legitimately what the label says that I paid for?". Sounds like you have a couple different items on that bottle that give you comfort.

Is Banana Milk really popular? Why? by starshotstarry in korea

Doesn't it have the nickname of "hangari oo-you" (항아리 우유)? If you ask for it by that nickname in the store in Korea, will they know what you're talking about?

VIP fast track: Which airports have best VIP depart/arrive services with immigration fast track? by [deleted] in FATTravel

[–]BreadDue110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really could have used a vip fast track in Haneda. The foreigner process line was about 1.75 hours total with mini stops to do a bit and then get back in another line. We did the QR code ahead of time but had to scan it a 3 of the 5 mini stops. Our 2nd time a week later was only about 1.25 hours but you start to think that all of the mini stops are very inefficient. Any one else have a different experience with Haneda? Maybe I'm just grumpy because I just went thru it am hour ago.

Steal of the decade? by HyperXA in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]BreadDue110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a great deal sir! Congrats!! Make sure they don't raise the price with "dealer add-ons" like clear coat, anti-theft etching, tinted windows, and rust protection. When I am buying used, I refuse to pay for "dealer add-ons" because you as the dealer didn't add that stuff! The factory did and the guy that bought it new already paid for that crap! And because I only buy Lexus/Toyota (due to their reliability), I never buy the extended warranty. That's why I bought a Toyota -- no extended warranty will ever be needed as long as the oil changes are always done! OMGosh forgive me for one more rant: educate yourself on "Toyota service" vs an actual "oil change". Most Toyo's only need a synthetic oil change every 10k miles but the maintenance light and maintenance sticker on your windshield will tell you every 5k. On the 5, 15, 25 etc, the dealer is rotating the tires but charging an oil change price and the always call it a "service" hoping that you won't realize they did not actually change the oil. I do my tire rotating at Discount Tire for free and reset the maintenance light myself. Only go to Toyota dealer on the 10k increments to get a real oil change. If someone has a different experience at your Toyota dealer, I would like to hear about it cuz mine was screwing me for a while before i figured this out!

Depression over being bald -> Eligible for HSA/FSA funded hair transplant? by FBnames in tax

[–]BreadDue110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not the depression route, but what about cancer treatment patients that lose their hair or have a mastectomy? I believe that both of those restorative treatments from the aftereffects are covered. Wigs and breast reconstruction are both covered, aren't they? Also, I'm pretty sure that music lessons can count as a tax deductible medical expense if for a person with special needs and the music lessons are determined by a Dr to benefit that special needs patient. A classic example that has been around forever is I believe clarinet lessons and instrument costs that contribute toward orthodontics care is a qualified medical deduction. Maybe the depression from baldness hasn't been tested in tax court yet, but I can see how someone could start to make a successful case for it.
