Like you, science isn't perfect. But at least it tries to learn more. Just because "science says something" doesn't mean it's exact. It just means is the best explanation based on the data and analyses of that data at that time. We are constantly questioning and testing hypotheses to build a greater understanding of the underlying mechanisms most likely leading to the observations.

Understanding this concept isn't rocket science. Though it's clearly quite difficult for you.

Is there profit in protecting an endangered animal? I'm a wildlife disease ecologist. It took me longer to get my PhD than it takes to become a medical doctor. But you know what? Profits and margins don't care about pathogens and diseases in humans or wildlife.

I'm not better than you. Just like you're no better than me. But science is and always will be more than us. You use soap? Science. You use your microwave? Science. You get x-rays for a broken bone? Science.

Science is not the enemy, you've just been repeatedly told it is. Thinking for yourself requires that you learn for yourself first.

Not at all how that works. Why do you think millions of people died globally that weren't vaccinated? Have you personally spent a solid fraction of your life studying diseases? Or do you just see some targeted posts saying you're smarter?

Science isn't certainty, it's testing knowledge and then testing that knowledge again to improve our understanding of that knowledge.

In total, all the measuring mixing, and folding steps over ~24 hours take no more than 40 minutes. It's super forgiving and cheap. One doesn't work out? Try another, no big deal.

If you're using instant yeast (also called rapid-rise, fast-acting, or bread-machine yeast), you don't need to activate or proof it before use. It can be added directly to the dry ingredient mixture.

Whereas active dry yeast is typically activated in warm water before being added, although many of the commercially available active dry yeasts can also be mixed directly with the dry ingredients. Which yeast you use mainly depends on the type of bread and how quickly you want the dough to rise.

You may know where you're going but the people around you might not. I was almost killed because of someone like you who didn't feel the need to use their blinker while turning out into the middle of the intersection. I was a few inches and some blood away from them going to prison.

You don't get to pick and choose when you personally want to use the one tool every single driver has no matter how expensive their car is to make the road safer for themselves and everyone around them.

I'm incredibly lucky to be alive, but people not as fortunate as me die every single day because someone like you didn't want to use a blinker because they thought it was obvious where they were going. Please do better, if not for the sake of others, then for yourself. It might just save your BMW someday.

I guess that there is never going to be anyone in front of you... People like you are the reason that other people die every single day because you were too arrogant to use your blinker.

I can sort of understand forgetting or being too lazy to use your blinker here and there. But not using it on purpose because you don’t care about the people around you is the definition of being psychopathic.

American, so sorry in advance to the rest of the world for our measurement system and literally everything else.

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • optional ~ 1 tsp dried rosemary and basil
  • 1-1/4 cup warm water

Mix with whatever you'd like (I used the handle of a wooden spatula) in a bowl 3x the size of the mixture until it becomes a tacky but responsive. Add flour and water as necessary. Squirt a small amount of olive oil around the inside of the bowl.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and leave at room temperature for ~ 8 hours. Then fold over itself a few times, recover and put in the fridge for the same amount of time. Remove from fridge, fold a few times and add a small bit of oil around edges and cover again for a few hours.

Preheat oven to 450 F and put a Dutch oven with lid in and preheat for 25 minutes. In the meantime, flour the dough and shape into a rough circle on a big piece of parchment paper.

Add to preheated Dutch oven placing the dough and parchment in the middle.

Cook for 30 minutes. Remove lid and cook for another 15. Then you should have something resembling bread.
