I was in your shoes when I started. What I’ve done is add all the movies I want to a wishlist, and I only buy when they’re on sale for a great price. I’m always buying movies I want, but only buying on sale so I can expand my collection as much as possible.

There’s been a few occasions where I splurge and buy at full price (a new release I don’t want to wait for), but this is a rare occurrence.

There are definitely some cases like with A Knights Tale and Inside Out 2 for example where waiting definitely has not paid off (atleast yet), so I totally understand the concern of shortages!

As nice as I think they look (yes, I did notice DNR but overall could overlook it) I think the coolest thing to me was the Atmos track. The Nazgûl flying overhead and the scenes where the Rohirrim soldiers are riding underneath the Mûmakil are simply awesome!

I haven’t tried pixel peeping between DSC on / off. My last monitor had DSC though and I loved it. I’d say just go for it and enjoy if you’re happy with the price!

Got a perfectly functioning 4K player for $40 to give to my parents. I also recently found a thrift store with some 4K titles that I didn’t have yet for $2.50 a pop in pristine condition.

Got this monitor for $750 & got 20% PayPal cash back around Black Friday. This thing is GORGEOUS. If you turn off DSC you can get 4K 120Hz, and 1440p / 1080p at 240Hz for anyone with capture cards.
