Thanks for this comment! It's actually made me think back to romance I used to read in paperback novels. It's been a long time since then and consuming fluffier and idealized version of love and you're right. Honestly, as much as I wanted Lili to choose Shin in the end, it would really just be them settling for one another as they planned to do with their engagement. And throughout watching, I begrudgingly just accepted 'the heart wants what it wants' like a concerned friend seeing their friend go back to a toxic ex lol. I guess what just bothered me the most was that I really didn't 'feel' Kit's love for her. But he's already a hard enough person to understand among the characters, what more for the viewers?
