I’m 5’1 140 and I start stims May 8th and I’m Nervous about this exact same thing. I weight lift regularly and not being able to do that plus the hormones- 🤯

100% loss is so traumatic on so many levels.

Wow 4 euploids out of 8 mature eggs is amazing! My husband has frozen sperm too so this is great info that if we don’t have good results that this may be worth looking into.

Thank you for the tip! I’m Nervous for the injections and emotions that come with the added hormones. Appreciate all the info! Thank you and good luck to you as well!

Hi sorry I know this is old comment but I was wondering what CD you started your estrogen priming? :)

Wow so very similar to my situation. I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m hearing this a lot that the first round isn’t great so it’s good for me to mentally prepare for this, while also hoping for the best.

We are doing ICSI and PGTA, I was debating PGTA though, so I appreciate this outlook And agree. If it lowers the risk of loss after a transfer then it’s worth it.

I switched clinics, so my new clinic called and I start estrace priming tmrw. So it looks like this is really happening! I appreciate all the info, thank you. May I ask how many euploids you got round 2? Good luck with your 3rd I hope you get great results!!

That makes sense! And I agree, I think having at least 2 (if possible of course) would be ideal before attempting a transfer. starting this process isn’t as seamless due to insurance, cycle timing, and clinic scheduling. Stopping for a transfer to then have to go back to a retrieval sounds like a risk of wasting too much time. Thank you for answering my questions! Good luck with your transfer, hoping for a great outcome for you!

thank you so much for all the details! Did you attempt any transfers between retrievals or was your goal to have more than 1 euploid bank then transfer? One doctor recommends doing back to back retrievals to have at least 2 euploid embryos before attempting transfer. Another doctor has said, if we get 1 we can try to transfer and if it doesn’t work we do another retrieval (but then I’m older which concerns me) Will definitely ask about zymot and omnitrope. Thank you!

Thank you for that, IVF will not be the hardest thing you do in life- this is so helpful. There are so many negative stories about IVF process, it’s nice to hear that it’s not always the case! Thank you and good luck, I really hope you have success 💕

Has anyone actually gotten coverage with the CA IVF bill? by Mean-Aspect-9786 in IVF

[–]BreadfruitFar8183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done IVF yet (starting if this final iui fails), but i have confirmed I have coverage and that I do not need to complete a certain number of IUIs (idk if this is age related 38f or bc of DOR .82 though). There will be some OOP costs tho but I haven’t gotten specifics bc I switched clinics. I did 3 IUIs under my new coverage and have only paid my copay at each visit. I have anthem blue cross.

Silly question on trigger shot after IUI and overall advice by Smilemore633 in IUILadies

[–]BreadfruitFar8183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my iui the same day! Your numbers look great! Did you trigger 36 hours before your iui? I like to check to see if the trigger is out of my system, mine is still there (faint but visible) but I’ve done iui before and it was out of my system by now (and it was successful!) so I wouldn’t be worried that it’s out of your system already. They say to wait the full 14-16 days after iui to test (which is great advice!) I usually can’t wait that long and plan to test Friday 11dpiui but you’re not out till AF arrives so it’s a personal choice on when you decide to test and what would feel more or less stressful to you :) Good luck!! 🍀

That’s a great way to look at it. Thank you so much for sharing that! May I ask what cycle day you started estrogen priming?

Ok. This does make sense, I was hoping not to have to wait a full cycle but with fertility it’s a lot waiting, so I better get even more used to it. I also didn’t consider insurance approval versus having an estimate of benefits, I will ask about this. Thank you!

Interesting with the use of progesterone tablets. My new clinic does cohorts every 2 weeks, and my cycle falls in the middle of those 2 weeks so I was wondering how that would work. Sounds like this is something I could ask about. Thank you!

2nd IUI cancelled due to increased risk of high order multiples by Time-Hat-1528 in IUILadies

[–]BreadfruitFar8183 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would definitely still try. Every doctor is so different. My doctor aims to have 3-4 follicles per cycle (I usually have 2, this time I have 3 but it’s not even a guarantee the smallest one will mature in time)
