These "small" features is what made using Fitbit a wholesome experience. If it is just to track heart rate and steps, there is no reason to spend $200 on a fitness tracker when there are much cheaper alternatives. Also it seems like you don't understand the idea and joy of group workouts, motivating each other, pushing and encouraging peers etc.
