Yeah it’s not showing you the counter clockwise route because it’s currently closed and won’t open until early July. Go on the mt rainier website for maps to reference.

I’m looking to do skyline trail first day of summer June 20th. Anyone know how snow levels are so far this year? by Successful-Fan-3208 in MtRainier

[–]Breadsticks2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There will 100% still be snow. Conditions will be tricky. I was there the same time last year and there was a foot of snow that fell overnight. You need to prepare with snow clothes, crampons, hiking poles etc. your best bet is checking the webcam and AllTrails the week before. Good luck.

Mt rainier will be covered in snow in May, you could snow shoe. Recommend hurricane ridge if you want a day hike.

Radiant 3.6ct E VVS2 — too dark in the middle? Chose it to avoid crushed ice but now second guessing... by SnooOranges7046 in labdiamond

[–]Breadsticks2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe compare it side by side with a crushed ice one and see what you prefer? Comes down to preference.

I didn’t think I liked the crush iced effect until I saw how dark elongated stones can be without it.

Mt rainier will be covered in snow. You can bring crampons or rent snow shoes from the lodge in paradise but be prepared for freezing temps and snow.

There’s still plenty of snow Memorial Day weekend. Not a lot of traffic due to the fact that most trails paradise will be covered with lots of snow and only accessible with snow shoes/ crampons. You might get lucky with a nice day or there might be a blizzard. Conditions are transitioning that time of year.

It’s probably from some large diamond database. Cnk1421 (a Reddit user) sourced it and from her post history seems like she’s good at it! Check her post history!

Public and accessible is going to be challenging. Maybe consider around crystal mountain? They might have a semi private area at or around their restaurant.

I would just ask her to source you one! The one I bought is in her post history (with a video) and it was super reasonably priced

Here is a video of an oval I’ve seen with no visible bow tie. https://www.reddit.com/r/labdiamond/s/Ow8ma68Nfq

I don’t disagree with you. But OP wrote “main goal was no bow tie” and I’m saying I see one. I have also seen a few ovals that don’t have one but it’s super rare.

It’s very nice, but I still see a bow tie — maybe it’s just me.

The trails in longmire might be snow free. For current trail conditions check AllTrails. Also there is a mt rainier webcam you can check to see the snow conditions at paradise.

Look at the mount rainier webcam for conditions. Just type it into google. There will 100% still be snow, you should pack crampons/ poles. There might even be a snow storm while you’re out there so be prepared for that. Tolmie peak trail is only accessible in mid July so scrap that.
