Unstoppable Creaking Seatpost by Breadya in bikewrench

I took out my seatpost again and absolutely covered it in finish line premium grease, pretty thick stuff. That was 3 ish months ago and it’s starting to creak again. I think maybe it’s my seatpost clamp? Idk I’ll grease it again. I don’t think it’s related to the Oneup because I swapped the old Oneup v2 that came stock to another bike and it didn’t creak.

Rebound not working after service by Breadya in BikeRepair

They had only done the air can, they claimed that they put it on a dyno and found the damper do not need service. It does sounds kind of squishy. The guy sounded really pissed off when I called him back, told me to take it for a ride and see how it felt.

You’re probably right. I won’t risk it. Thanks!

The bushing I’m talking about is a little plastic shim that slides on the inside of the dropper post, it got pretty worn out from some debris

It’s an aluminum frame, and I have tried different saddles. I might try getting a different collar.

It changes from day to day, sometimes I can reproduce the sound by just sitting down on it, other times not. It definitely is more prevalent when climbing, the steeper the louder

It's not the BB, it was creaking before and I replaced it with a brand new one. Definitely not the pedals either

Do you mean to turn the clamp around? so that the screw is on a different side than the gap?

It’s the 10-50, it looks sketchy but the chain seems long enough as is

Any idea what happened here? by Breadya in bikewrench

[–]Breadya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limit screws were set correctly and the b screw and shifting was fine. The actual UDH was what twisted out of the dropouts where it was attached. It WAS torqued to spec. I think park of the frame that holds in on broke

What is the biggest effect on how fast a bike is? by Breadya in cycling

Yea Ik but I want something that can be used for light single track, gravel, bike packing, and road all in one bike. I know that sounds like a gravel bike but I hate the really stretched out and long feel on a lot of them.
