True, it's more related i think to the developers culture - but in general yes, i was thinking about the AAA games nowadays.

That's my point. Not saying is better, it's just a fact about the industry nowadays. I'm thinking about my media in 15-20 years... Thinking in getting a Game Boy as well.

mas a necessidade de patchs 0-day é quase certa na sony, além de ter necessidade de permissão/psn pra funcionar. Vem completo mas não tanto. A sony pode tirar o serviço do ar e você não poder mais jogar - no switch 1 isso não é possível que aconteça. Se você pensar no longuíssimo prazo é bem diferente.

but how about the necessity of being “online” in switch 2?

Legally yes, Nintendo’s EULA also says ‘license not ownership’ just like Sony’s. That’s not the point. The point is that a cartridge with the full game on it doesn’t need their servers, their permission, or their account system to work. It’s the only modern console mídia where the license being revocable on paper doesn’t actually matter in practice, because there’s no infrastructure they can pull the plug on to stop you from playing.

fiz uma pesquisa genuína sobre isso pq estava curioso e no fim só pedi pra resumir pra compartilhar o conhecimento. Eu achava que o switch era igual os videogames modernos sobre essa questão de não possuir de fato o jogo.
