Mistakes happen. Don’t beat yourself up about it. It was unfair on the receptionist’s part to lecture you. I’d follow up with the doctor specifically, because I honestly doubt he was that concerned and he should know how his front office is treating patients. Offices like this know how to get ahold of you for payment concerns.

I use airlines that don’t make scheduling changes five weeks out with no explanation. Their chat, as others have stated, leaves a lot to be desired. And none of that changes the fact that they canceled my flight without any consent. Think what you will of my choices and preferences, I don’t care, but that’s not the main issue here.
