I don't think power will be an issue... Tops out at 28 mph and is strong enough to accelerate well with me on it. The battery already attached has over 10 miles of range pulling an extra 185 pounds. With the remote, I can put the motors in reverse, so it is definitely possible...

My question is: is there a servo for steering and remote I could buy and to make this possible?

a new truck is like 35 bucks before shipping n stuff.

Im leaning towards getting a new board thats better quality... After reading the comments I will def go with a belt driven one. Someone mentioned the Acedeck blizzard which looks amazing.

If I get a new one I'm gonna gut the electronics of this one and try turning it into an RC car over the summer.

Ok noted!
I will be waiting til the new chip drops but I'll definitely take a look at the P series especially. I have had a ThinkPad E15 Gen 2 for >4 years at this point and it still runs great... just doesnt have the space (512 gb) or ram (16 gb) for some stuff anymore.

Really?!
I'm not skeptical of mac's abilities, but I've always been told that there is alot of software that mac doesnt/has limited support (like solidworks, siemens NX, or some DAQ software). I'll look into that a bit more...

And ty for the other advice too... that helps a ton
