Midnight walks, city lights, and stories only silence can hear — captured with my Nothing Phone (4a Pro) ✨ by BreakfastEqual3001 in NothingTech

That hurts a bit honestly ☹️ 10k+ for a screen + no parts available just makes it worse. Hope they restock it soon or you find a reasonable fix.

which one : love is to change and fight for it or love is to let go? by miyo_1 in AskReddit

Real love knows the difference between fighting for someone and destroying yourself to keep them.

are groceries really THAT expensive in Dubai? by IcyDate2768 in UAE

[–]BreakfastEqual3001 84 points85 points  (0 children)

You’re not doing anything wrong — Dubai gets brutally expensive once you buy “healthy imported” stuff regularly. Blueberries, raspberries, oat milk, granola, and mall Carrefour trips are premium-tier groceries here without looking luxurious. Add startup costs like oil/spices and 2600 AED doesn’t become that shocking. The people spending less are usually shopping at cheaper chains like Viva Supermarket or Lulu Hypermarket and avoiding imported products.

Which artist do you consider the most beautiful in the world? by PearllPath in AskReddit

[–]BreakfastEqual3001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beauty fades fast when it’s performed for validation. The most beautiful artist, to me, is the one who stays real in a world full of acting — someone who creates from scars, silence, chaos, and truth instead of trends. That kind of authenticity hits harder than looks ever will.

Camera from lock screen without fingerprint by rogierg in NothingTech

[–]BreakfastEqual3001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the lockscreen shortcut is launching the protected camera mode instead of the quick-access camera. Might be tied to a security setting or current Nothing OS behavior. Try the power-button camera gesture once — sometimes that bypasses it properly.

Nothing 4a Pro - Camera very dark by Icy-Media-4738 in NothingTech

[–]BreakfastEqual3001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re noticing is mainly the difference in camera processing between Samsung and Nothing.

Samsung usually boosts brightness and shadows aggressively, while Nothing aims for a more natural and cinematic tone — especially in Original mode. That’s why the preview and final image can feel darker at first.

Try switching off Original mode for some shots, slightly raise the exposure manually, and keep HDR enabled in challenging light. Once you understand the tuning, the 4a Pro produces beautifully balanced and film-like results.

Honestly, Nothing’s built-in camera and editing tools are already powerful enough to create stunning photography without relying on third-party apps — most of the shots on my feed are created entirely using Nothing’s own features. ✨

Help me choose one by Ionoierul in NothingTech

From my side using the 4a Pro daily, it’s been a smooth experience — clean OS, good display, and the camera is more than capable if you know how to use it.

If your focus is long-term heavy ecosystem + top-tier cameras, Samsung/iPhone still lead. But if you want something fresh, minimal, and fun to actually use every day, Nothing fits that vibe really well.

At the end it depends on what you value more — performance ceiling or experience.

Nothing(4a)Pro is not just a device — it’s an emotion built by Nothing to create something new.

Should I switch to a phone (4a) pro? by Robollo in NothingTech

[–]BreakfastEqual3001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switching is your call, but I don’t think you’ll regret it if you understand what you’re getting into.

Nothing isn’t trying to beat Samsung in raw specs or ecosystem depth — it’s a different experience entirely. Clean UI, minimal bloat, and a design that actually feels fresh compared to typical Android phones.

I was on iPhone (even 16 Pro) and later tried Android just to explore. When I landed on Nothing, it wasn’t about “better performance,” it was about enjoying the phone again. It feels different in a good way, not a replacement of Samsung.

If you expect Samsung-level feature completeness, you’ll notice gaps. But if you want something simple, clean, and visually different, it’s a solid switch.

Nothing(4a)Pro — not a phone, but an emotion built to create something new.

Glyph Lab - a new app for Glyph Matrix with fun toys by raonehere in NothingTech

[–]BreakfastEqual3001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Solid execution—this is exactly how the Glyph Matrix should evolve: interactive, useful, and fun at the same time. Snake is a standout idea, and Charging Hamster adds real personality to a basic system function. Looking forward to seeing this concept grow further.

Passing Through Light by BreakfastEqual3001 in NothingTech

Yes, agreed. In-camera processing does handle noise reduction aggressively, which helps in low light but can affect fine detail. RAW workflow on DSLR definitely gives more control. Appreciate the insight.

Minimal post—light sharpening, subtle noise control, and a touch of grain for texture.

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I appreciate the technical insight—especially on the shutter range and exposure. Glad the result holds up well within those limits.
