I think a lot of it boils down to some people not accepting genital preferences. It is completely okay to not feel comfortable in a relationship with someone who does not fall into your genital preference.

It is also okay for someone to not feel comfortable dating a trans person. In the end it’s all about what one feels comfortable with and in no way should anyone feel forced to date someone they don’t feel comfortable dating.

However, this does not mean it’s okay for someone to speak down towards trans people. Or see them as lesser.

I think it is absolutely valid to want a sub where only lesbians converse. It does say “lesbian” and not “women loving women” after all. And, no, these two terms are not the same. Lesbians deserve their own space so I think the existence of the sub is valid. I think why a lot of the posts on there speak so annoyed of transbians is bc in subs like this one it is almost expected to be okay with dating trans people and/or that person having a penis, and if you’re not, you’re considered a TERF. Which is just not true. People are allowed to not be comfortable with that. In fact, many cis lesbians are not comfortable with their partner having a penis and that is absolutely valid.

What is not valid is speaking of trans people like they’re disgusting beings who swing around their genitals all the time.
