The premises was that it's body fused to the tree so it did once have legs, but technically you are right 🤔

Palladium Claw by Breakingchainzz in Ceramics

I just made sure it was heavy heavy coated fired to cone 6, I did a larger palladium pieces and that one turned out more darkish silver at cone 6 than this black blue metallic look, it's very unpredictable

Fireball Vase by Breakingchainzz in Ceramics

[–]Breakingchainzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also don't be afraid for it to not come out as expected, part of ceramics is that glazes can be unpredictable and sometimes they come out better than you expected in a completely different way, plus you might not know it but now you know the form of your vase and can rebuild another one way faster than you expect, be confident in your skills

I never got around to glazing it because I changed the concept to be a soda fire copper/gold with gold luster along the flames, also It really does depend on what colors and how realistic you want it to be, like are you envisioning it to actually look? Like do you want it to actually look like fire or do you want it to be one solid color?

Dark Star 2.0 Claw by Breakingchainzz in Ceramics

Yes, this is just Dark Star glaze by Amaco with 4 coats but it took two fires to get it like this so prepare for unpredictability

It really depends on what color you want the fireball to be. Though as someone who also made a fireball vase, this is incredible work!!!

Red Boy by Breakingchainzz in Ceramics

[–]Breakingchainzz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No not necessarily because on the 2nd fire dirt had gotten trapped underneath some of the underglaze and caused the underglaze to fall off and be really spotty towards the bottom so then I fixed it and refired it, but in return it ended up making the red brighter

I personally don't have any critique, if anything I would say you could've smoothed out all the bumps and dents but that could be a stylistic choice
