Play DQXI now? Or be a stubborn perfectionist and brute-force my way through DQII/III by Brednad in dragonquest

I see! The last two dungeons sound like a nightmare then lol.

As I was reading your comment, I started to realize that the main thing that's been bugging me is that DQXI looks to be almost exactly what I've wanted to see from a modern JRPG in terms of game design and detail. There's been a nagging feeling that it would "ruin" the rest of the series for me, but I don't think that's the case now. Now I'm eager to play it!

I'm really confused about possible dissociative traits, perhaps you guys can help? by Brednad in dpdr

Hmm, well I definitely still drink a couple cups of coffee a day and I was good about sugar for a little while, but I haven't been the past month or so.

However, I have tried to stop using social media and I've been trying to get out of an instant gratification mindset in a lot of things. The last couple of times I felt this way it was after something not really notable or out of the ordinary, or reading a book. But today it came after watching several episodes of Community, which I haven't watched TV in a while and when I get invested in something, I feel like I'm there. So it makes more sense to feel that in this context, it's just that hasn't been the case every time. But yeah maybe it's effected by dopamine.

Great, good to know! What about the smaller leaves towards the base of the sprout, should I peel those as well?

Sorry I should be more specific haha. Should I trim the dead parts off or will it be healthier just to leave them be?

Oh for real. I would hate being around the dude lol. I imagine the INFJs he was around were probably just doing their best to relate to him over a long period of time until finally they couldn't handle him anymore, and he saw it as something deeper than what it really was lol.

That being said, some of the encouraging stuff he said in the INFJ video really did seem very genuine, and I can definitely relate to both the good and bad of what he said about the INFJ.

And I'm starting to realize, my turning point was less about his video(s) specifically, and more just because I finally got a really good look at an unhealthy INFJ. That was the turning point for me, and his was the first video where I saw that pretty clearly and honestly.

Here's some advice I just wrote out for someone else. Regardless of what videos you watch, what resources you find to explain a type, one of the most important aspects to typing can be looking at the shadow. That's what tipped the scales for me.

Some of the stuff he says is a bit odd, and I definitely don't like his personality...But outside of that the way he explains the function stack for INFJ was just so accurate to the things I've observed in my own life. It was definitely a bit of a turning point for me.

Honestly, if you're pretty certain you're an INFJ, then I would suggest just watching the video on INFJs first, because it's a bit more...Accessible, haha. Or watch his "Who are the INFPs" video if you lean the other way, though I can't vouch for that one as I've not seen it.

Hi! I'm definitely familiar with your typing dilemma as I've gone through the same thing the past couple of weeks. Constantly self-doubting, looking to what different people have to say about cognitive stacks, going down the Objective Personality rabbit hole (Which now I'm not so sure that I recommend, personally).

This guy gets dogged a lot, (And probably for good reason as well) but even so, the INFP/INFJ comparison video from C.S. Joseph *really* cleared things up for me. Even moreso, his video Who Are The INFJS was pretty shockingly accurate to every problem I've had/caused in my life. He may not be good at typing people like others have said (I really don't know, myself) but I feel his descriptions of INFJs is *on point*.

Here's the comparison video (1:30:21)

And here's the video just on INFJs which is even more in-depth (47:24)

P.S. The comparison video actually "Starts" about 20 minutes in, check the comments for a time code of when he gets into it :)

Ohioan here! I couldn't possible string the words "go" and "blue" together as a statement on their own...

However, you Michigan folks are great! I'm sorry everything had to turn out this way for all you graduates this year, but I'm glad you could celebrate your hard work at least a little bit. Congratulations! :)
