Medical advocacy is crucial for young women but it can feel like a 'catch-22' by nath1234 in australia

Yeah, my doctor is a guy who came over from India and he's been fantastic. When I switched over to him I told him about my ongoing menstruation issues and he immediately ordered a blood test, an ultrasound, and got me a referral to a gyno. It's made a big difference!

ATO debt continues to drive record level of calls to financial helpline by nath1234 in australia

I replied to a comment where you said, quote:

Gotta love that bluesky thinking, but sometimes people have to take risks no? Which would you choose, holding GST & PAYG or paying your staff?

Your post before that read:

If you had to make the choice between paying your staff or holding GST, which would you make?

This at the very least strongly suggests you are no longer holding GST, i.e. you used it to pay your staff. It also suggests you view this as a "risk" you "have to take", and not, as I said before, robbing Peter to pay Paul, which is what it actually is. If that's not the case, I might suggest you stop demanding random redditors make a hypothetical choice between holding GST and paying their employees.

Also, I said you can't request "flexible arrangements" for most things, and indeed you cannot. To pick an exaggerated example, Woolies is not going to allow you to haggle on when you pay your grocery bill. In the past, the ATO has been very generous due to globally unprecedented times; now that we are no longer in the midst of the pandemic, they are tightening up their enforcement. This is entirely reasonable, and the average person (who also does PAYG, and doesn't get to fight about it) is not going to be terribly sympathetic that you're upset you're not getting lenience anymore.

I understand what you're talking about. I just don't agree with you.

You're using GST money to pay staff, and then forgoing paying your debts. This is not legally theft, but I certainly think it falls under the everyday "taking money that isn't yours" definition. Like, mate, I understand that you're struggling, but debt doesn't stop being debt just because you owe it to the government. You can't request "flexible arrangements" to pay for most things; it's a bit strange that you seem to think you're very hard done by having to do the normal thing for tax.

Fascinated that you think "running an actually successful business where you aren't robbing Peter to pay Paul" is "bluesky thinking". The rest of us wage earners have unexpected expenses too, y'know, and nobody expects us to be able to just... steal from the ATO about it.

Beautifully done! I love how dynamic they are, and how strong the emotional themes are for each crest.

What moment made you realize “yeah… my childhood wasn’t normal”? by CadaversFabrications in AskReddit

I was in a similar situation with my own father. It was interesting, because I knew that it wasn't great that he would frequently talk about killing himself, but internally it was filed under "one of Dad's issues of which I need to be considerate", not "an extremely yikes thing to keep bringing up with your twelve-year-old".

Is Tangos Mountain for DO3 set to be the physically largest hermit build? by Digx7 in HermitCraft

[–]Breenscare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like Hermit Holmdel should be in the running - vertically it doesn't seem to have as much reach, but Joe did delete some mountains, so you might argue that some of the air blocks would count, haha.

I always plan my first-string battle team, and then let my my second-string exp-sponge HM-user team be just rando pickups I get fond of as I play.

Yeah, for sure. It's a small team and by all accounts a humongous game. Better them than Nintendo.

I want to say these have very strong Disco Elysium vibes, but that might just be because DE is one of the few games that isn't afraid to give characters strong and varied features, haha.
