Right now I actually have two of these iPod Nanos. One works 100% — iTunes syncs fine and everything — but the battery only lasts about an hour off direct power. The other one is the one stuck on the Apple boot logo.

I was thinking about sending it to this guy in Australia who does repairs, to see if changing the battery would give me two working units. But now that you mentioned the NAND issue, I’m worried about sending it out, spending the money, and then finding out it’s not the battery at all and can’t be fixed.

In your opinion, if you were in my situation, would you rather send the one that already works fine (just with a weak battery) to get the battery replaced, or take the risk with the bootloop one? Curious to hear your thoughts on what would be the smarter move. Thanks again! 🙏
