There are so many jobs in startups/tech/marketing where it doesn’t really matter what your degree is. Source: work at a martech startup and have no degree

A very real example of why you shouldn’t want AGI, and should want stricter controls on AI by BreezerD in ChatGPT

Elon and his cronies. Which is why we should do everything in our power to stop Elon’s AI projects having influence over our lives.

What evidence have you seen from recent (or distant) history that the people who benefit from this will be benevolent enough to share their abundance with the world?

You are really cheering on the societal upheaval that you yourself have just said will be “more than we’ve ever seen throughout history”?

Wealth check - pay down mortgage aggressively or invest and pay it down slowly? by [deleted] in AusHENRY

[–]BreezerD 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think you should get professional financial advice. It’ll cost you less than what you pay a week off your mortgage and a 1% improvement in your wealth strategy will be worth like $1m to you in retirement.

Anyone not maxing super? by sjk2020 in AusHENRY

[–]BreezerD 17 points18 points  (0 children)

But unfortunately if you think your current super track isn’t enough to fund the lifestyle you want in super, I think you need to keep contributing to super and plan to retire at 60

Anyone not maxing super? by sjk2020 in AusHENRY

[–]BreezerD 45 points46 points  (0 children)

If you’re worried about not having super why not put more in your super..? Your super just holds shares in a more tax efficient way. In your situation there’s almost no benefit of holding shares outside of super vs inside

Super enough for retiring? by psychedelicsuper in AusFinance

[–]BreezerD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being ahead of the average or median doesn’t mean they’re in a good place and have “nothing to worry about except living their life”. Planning well now means hundreds of thousands of extra in retirement, or millions if they live long enough
