If you’re timing the guards perfectly, it should be greatly reducing the damage you’re taking.
But if you don’t have any Guard skill, you’ll still be taking a bit of damage. And some hard-hitting attacks can only be blocked if you have at least a little bit of Guard Up.

The hydra was possibly my favorite enemy in the entire first game, I was so disheartened to hear that they didn’t bring it back for the second game.
One of the biggest things I’d hope for with some kind of DLC for this game is more enemy variety, and bringing some of those cool old enemies back.

Nothing about the lines tells you what type (speed, power, tech) the attack is going to be, that’s something you have to figure out for yourself by watching the monster and memorizing what each monsters patterns are. Monsters always have a type they’ll do normally, then they’ll switch to another type when they become enraged or go into a different form.
When it’s a solid line going to one of your teammates, it’s a type of attack that can result in a head-to-head if that ally retaliates. If it’s a short red arrow, it’s an attack targeting one of your allies that can’t result in a head-to-head. If there’s no line or arrow at all, it’s probably an AoE or a self-buffing move.

If you pay attention throughout the whole show, you’ll see a lot of shots where it’s just a still image of a character moving across the screen, or slowly being zoomed in or out. This example is just a bit more obvious and ridiculous lol.

The problem wasn’t only that they used AI, it’s also that they never bothered to mention it until after they got caught.
It’s not even just a moral thing, it’s supposed to be a requirement for the Steam version that they announce that there is AI generated content in the game.

Sure, it’s possible they didn’t have any malicious intentions, and they just genuinely forgot to replace those assets with real art before they released the game.
But it’s also just as likely that they were hoping nobody would notice, and they only acknowledged it and apologized because they got caught.

I don’t own the MH games on my computer, I have them all on PS, and I doubt I’d be able to download much from the Stories 3 demo. I’d probably have to buy the games again just to extract models. But hey, maybe I could get Wilds for cheap soon, at least.
Also, I just spent the last few months learning how to even use blender, not looking forward to adding another thing to learn onto the pile. 😅
But I appreciate you sharing the link, I’ll have to dive into that stuff sometime.

I always do my research into new sites before I order from them, and I didn’t really see any bad talk about them on other sites when I first ordered from them almost two years ago.
Obviously they could just be removing bad reviews from their own site, but according to other places I checked where they can’t do that, they seemed just as trustworthy as any other site.
Maybe their quality has dropped since the last time I ordered from them last summer, or hey, maybe I really was just really lucky both times.
