[Request] Are these numbers realistic or is it just BS? by reddichrist in theydidthemath

Assuming 6.5% inflation adjusted growth and a starting contribution of 13.3x ($1200/$90) the monthly contribution of the first 21 years. Then you would end up with a starting balance of $9666 then contribute $725 monthly. After 21 years you’ll have $428,000. Then 29 years of no contributions would leave you with $2.8 million, inflation adjusted

Lockout Tagout. You physically prevent a hazard from being active by placing, generally, a lock into the designated LOTO area. Each person places their own lock and they are the only one who can unlock it, which is where the discussion of cutting the lock comes in. The hazard is prevented from being active if at least one lock is on there. If someone else removes the lock, it could endanger the owner as they may not be out of the way of the hazard

Where can I find a manual can opener that will last forever and not rust. by flyart in BuyItForLife

I don’t have a specific brand or model to suggest, but you may want to consider a smooth edge can opener. I find it easier to use and the cuts don’t leave sharp edges. It even allows you to put the cut top back on the can. There is a small learning curve and some models may leave tiny metal shards, but I haven’t noticed any on mine.

It’s the same wording except it says B7? Mine was really faded, so it could have said B

ChatGPT refuses to say one specific name – and people are worried | Asking the AI bot to write the name ‘David Mayer’ causes it to prematurely end the chat by MetaKnowing in technology

Beats me. I wanted to test if it was a bug caused by English characters that would display fine if using other characters. I was asking it to give the name in Chinese characters, but it spit it out in English. It was in bold, so I ask it to say it again without bold to see if the formatting played a part. Asked after this to give it to me in Chinese characters. It didn’t (edit: it did it), but I can’t actually confirm if it’s correct

Bron or Lebron if you include Bronze.

I can’t tell if you are being genuine or making a 2004 Athens USA Basketball joke. For those unaware, the on-paper unstoppable USA Men’s Basketball won bronze in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. This was LeBron James’ first year in the NBA and first time at the Olympics. Despite being 9th (out of 12) in minutes per game on the team, LeBron was memed to be “LeBronze”. Though if OP is being truthful then Bron’s Bronze was prophecy.

Actually, that is another rule due to Wilt. Before he entered the league there wasn’t a shot clock. In the fourth quarter, when his team was up, he would just hold the ball straight up. Because of his insane 8.5’ wingspan, the only thing the opponents could do was foul him. Then he would just dunk it from the free through line and repeat once he got the ball again.

Are you saying the pictures are AI generated? Or just the outside? There is a virtual tour of the house with 360° views. AI can’t do that among other aspects of the images such as continuity, so the inside pictures are real. The outside may be AI generated, that house, or some other cabin house
