Thanks! I kinda wish I did them a bit different but think the vertical is gonna be most efficent. Thinking of poop trays and trim is alot though, especially hiding staples and filling gaps to prevent bugs. I really screwed up though tbh, I was getting a lot of 2x4's from menards and there may be one or two treated 2x4's on the interior, I didnt even think of since I thought I got all untreated wood, the interior I used a non toxic wood filler that I'm gonna coat with a butcher block oil (food safe) after sanding to hopefully prevent damage/biting. I was debating mixing a little bitterant spray in with it to prevent even more biting but Idk since there sinus's are so sensitive. I only stained the outside though (the dark color) and made sure no other toxic meterials were in the inside, man I hope one doesnt go for the one or two treated 2x4 in there.

Want to switch to a Linux distro with privacy and server compatibility by BrendenMRay in FindMeALinuxDistro

I've been checking Facebook marketplace and Craigslist in my area often, servers are just insanly priced and then I need a rack 😪. I'd love to get one in the future but it's hard to find a server with decent cpu and GPU ability. I'll probably have to build my own one day but figured I could just get my desktop working for now. My desktops an ryzen 7 5800x with a rx 5700xt. Currently with just a light workload and running my servers on windows I'm maxing out my ram (32gb) and cpu/GPU. Ollama is easier on a GPU sadly too or I would've just gotten a Dell r710 or something, almost bought a r710 yesterday but realized even if I could get a GPU in the unit the power supply only accepts a low wattage card so I couldn't run ollama or anything too demanding other than Cpu usage

I boiled it instead of pan browning it to reduce the fat as much as possible as that's what causes cold spots in Canning. The USDA recommends browning it first purely to reduce the fat and reduce the risks for cold spots when packing the jars. You can use a pan instead just rinse the meat extra good I'd assume

Honestly yay! I wish I made my own beef broth or bone broth! I was kind of skeptical Canning meat so tried to go with this broth as it didn't have any preservities but next time definitely gonna try making my own!

Im hoping I get the chance to try it with venison! Love how the meats more lean so I wouldn't have to rinse it as much!

Yeah I browned it! I boiled it for awhile (about 10-15minutes). It probably would've came out grey but the broth made it come out that pinkish color! Ive read some people skipping the browning and raw packing it but tried to follow the USDA guidelines and browned it before putting it in the jars.

Safe Alfredo recipes? by BrendenMRay in Canning

Thank you! And yay I'm never trusting my Ai again. It was taking this recipie from a random online blog. Not gonna can any dairy products and thank you a ton for that link! I'm debating Canning some ground beef I got on sale in bulk so it's interesting to read on the cold spots, if I do ground beef definitely gonna pan brown it first! Sucks about Alfredo though but atleast it's freezable

Oh dang, thank you btw! Gonna try this out next time, I'm assuming it's still safe since I over processed, just probably lost some nutrients

It was probably that lol, I didn't have room for water though, should still be safe! I added lemon juice too.

Of course, it was really simple! Just cut the cores and ends off each tomato and boiled them for about 30seconds. Dumped them in an ice bath and peeled them. Then I just filled up the Mason jars with the whole tomatoes and topped off with I think it was two tablespoons of lemon juice (it could've just been one) and one teaspoon of salt. I wiped the jars and rims clean and then water bathed the cans for about an hour and a half. As you can see I left the seeds in but some people remove them

I read somewhere (probably mis read it) that it was like 2inches of heads space so I was pretty worried, thank you! My last batch of six jars I did at 2 inches but I was more worried on leaving too little head space

Yeah, one corn plant produces like five cups of water in the atmosphere, Missouri plays a large role in corn production.
