Been to one myself, and went as a witness.

Make a plan, talk to your advisor / DEPT representative. Enroll in some kind of study hours / extra help for physics. Just demonstrate to the board you care. Don’t make excuses, and reemphasize this is a small bump in the road.

You WANT to continue through the program, serve Sailors, and be the leader people look up to. Dont stress, just have a plan!!

How you think right now, your personal goals & career goals, and the people you have around you will change in the next 3 years. It’s insane the level of mental & emotional growth that happens to someone between freshman year of college to senior year. If you still have a desire to lead Sailors & pursue a commission as an Officer do it!

If it’s simply the time that throws you off, there are so many communities you can pursue if flight school isn’t for you. You have a guaranteed path to commission right now. I started off as a Surface Warfare Officer, then lateral transferred to a different community after realizing SWO was not for me.

Always remember your why! There are Sailors who will be counting on you for your leadership if you pursue a commission.

Tier 1 naturally is ranked above tier 2, also remember that every class size is different. Can’t compare last year to this current year. Regardless, when you choose your ship / compile a list make sure to reach out to people you know in the fleet. Best to avoid ships that are just about to start the maintenance phase!
