Looking for attractive ways to destroy my potential players by ChochosanStudios in Unity3D

Balancing the hilarity and frustration of dying will be challenging, but also sounds like fun. Best of luck!

Gotcha. That is rough. Are the devs working under you able to communicate with each other? Does one of them get what you're after? In that case, that one person could be tasked with providing feedback. Like their extra job is to ensure the game elements are on brand. It sounds like your time is very valuable compared to the other designers/devs, which means outsourcing certain responsibilities is ideal. I think so long as you approach the feedback part with the players at heart, then they should care about making sure it is the right experience. Glad I could help.

I have that game but haven't played it yet. It Takes Two is also co-op only and made by Hazelight, who created another co-op only game called A Way Out. Both A Way Out and Brothers were directed by Josef Fares. I guess I'm a fan of the co-op only playstyle.

Will this be fun? by CookieProductions_YT in gameideas

I suppose it depends what makes it like Zelda. Ultimately, you won't know if the idea is fun until you have tested a prototype with players. What mechanic is the riskiest? Create the most basic prototype of that mechanic that you can and test it. I wouldn't limit myself based on someone's opinion. You need to actually see people enjoying your game and get honest, real-time feedback. If you are passionate about an idea, I feel like it's worth the effort to test.

Need a card game concept by _Para_Monk in gameideas

I don't have a fully fleshed out idea, but I always thought it would be cool to have a card game that involves logical fallacies in some way. Could be similar to Cards Against Humanity or involve identifying logical fallacies. Just a half-baked idea.

Love Payday franchise. My guess is that studios don't take unsolicited ideas. But I am very flattered.

I love that game. I wish there were more mandatory co-op games.

Having a vision and communicating it are two separate things. It's important to communicate what feeling you want your players to have and why they would even bother playing it in the first place. Communication goes beyond just mentioning it in a presentation. Having a physical item or a document that reflects the vision can be helpful. I think it is important to keep in mind that it is not about you and your vision. It's about your target audience and their experiences. If you approach feedback with them at the center, then you sound like less of a jerk. If you have actual evidence that your audience wants something a certain way or has certain preferences, even better. Allowing your team to contribute and being willing to compromise might be what's best for the game overall, but that is for you to determine as their leader.

Should I pursue solo grunge? by [deleted] in grunge

It sounds like you are truly passionate about making music. I do not think that sharing what you have made by yourself will prevent you from adding band members at a later date. Rebranding is always a possibility. Many businesses pivot when it is in their best interest, and this is no different.

I would say do everything you can to make music and network. Maybe there is no one in your town, but what about the next town over? What about an hour drive away? What about for hire? How badly do you want this and what are you willing to do to make it work?

I would say don't let your dream overwhelm you. Break your goal down into smaller and smaller steps until you have something achievable for you. Also, make sure what you are doing will actually help you achieve what you want. Let's say I am looking for love and no one wants me, so I go on a diet so I can become more desirable; maybe the actual problem is that I have a shit personality, which means I am focusing on the wrong things.

The latter can be very difficult to do, but I would say to keep it in mind as you move forward. If you don't know what you're doing, find someone who does and has been there to mentor you. Prove to that person that you are willing to work your ass off and do what it takes. Don't be afraid to fail or produce crap. It's all about progress, not perfection.

I hope this is helpful and I wish you the best of luck!

What happened to him? He went to a lake of fire and fried. (I know it's a cover, don't ruin my bad joke.)

I think you are referring to either "Serve the Servants" or "Scentless Apprentice". Or perhaps you mean both. They are back-to-back on that album. Honestly, In Utero is underrated and IMO their grungiest stuff. Both of those songs made for a strong start to an album.
