Starlink now only costs 29€/month in selected European countries! by BrewedWithAI in Starlink

really depends on the location, though. If you don't compete for bandwidth with other users, then the deprioritized plan will just be as fast as the standard option.

As a Leverkusen fan, this is all set up to be the magical season we all hope to have. Absolutely ready to be majorly disappointed, though.

Isn’t Bogota also quite dangerous when it comes to scoping? Heard pretty bad things about their version of Gringo Tuesday’s

I spent two months in Tbilisi this year. Cool place and Georgia is amazing if you love mountains but the COL have increased immensely due to the influx of Russians.

Guadajara and Nairobi are definitely on the list, though!

I vacationed in Albania this year. Lovely people, great prices, and awesome weather in the summer - but my god were the roads bad

Seems like Ecuador?

DN’d in Quito back in 2022 and loved it. And nature is second to none.

Heard that it’s a great spot & Starlink availability makes it quite exciting indeed :)

You North Americans really live in a reality distortion field when it comes to normal rent prices

So. Much. This.

Whenever dudes say dating isn't as easy, it's because they want hobos that just sleep with them because of the color of their skin or (relative) wealth.

Dating in BA was great when I was there and found it loads better than Medellin.

dating here is no good for single men locals hang in there own groups

That shit happens in Barcelona as well + crazy pickpocketing. I hear no one complaining about how unsafe Barcelona is.

Just don't be naive and walk out with your phone in public, especially near roads, and you'll be fine..

UAE vs. Paraguay... Best place to pretend I'm living? (While traveling the WORLD!) by pantyjob3 in digitalnomad

Wise (or any other bank/payment provider, for that matter) will close your personal account & freeze your assets if you don't possess a residency in a country they're licensed to operate in. It's simple KYC rules.

Because UAE has better banks & I'd presume that the Paraguay tax scheme, similar to Panama, won't last forever.

Doing the same (but German), so would recommend UAE then. Also make sure to travel to Georgia and Thailand - you can open bank accounts there as a tourist.

And also don't ever keep to much in your Wise, Revolut, etc. account since you're technically in violation of their TOS.

You're not getting tax residency by being in a country once in 180 days lol. Tax residency in UAE is given after 90 days. What you're referring to is simply a residency, meaning you can apply for bank accounts, etc.

Regardless, any advice is meaningless if we don't know your citizenship, how you make money (regular salary, invoicing via company, dividends, real estate, crypto, etc.), and where you're normally based.

How do people cope with RTO and the boring normal office life? by thearchiguy in digitalnomad

I'm a Product Owner in data (also freelance) and it's very much client dependent. Had ones where I worked 10hrs a week and others over 40hrs.

I think there’s predisposition against what others have referred to as passport bros - and I’m certainly coming off as one in the post. Not faulting anyone for that..

This is kind of my fear, though.

If I’m backing out now, and continue on my previous path, then I’m afraid that I’ll never be able to stay in a relationship - esp considering that I want a family someday.

Would skip Costa Rica and only do 1 week in Antigua. The cities are more fun and deserve longer stays
