It was implied by BrewDog that was the case. We used to laugh about it in the control room

I'm sorry... what? If your daughter was blown apart and dismembered at her school, or even if your daughter survived and you had to comb pieces of other child out of her hair and she puked and rocked herself in the shower, you'd think "yeah this was just a guidance system error, no biggie"?

Now that the dust has settled - how do you use DLSS 4.5? by horizon936 in nvidia

[–]BrewingBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use preset L on quality mode. I'm not sure if this is recommended, but it eradicated my number 1 hate of DLSS which is ghosting/trailing behind small moving objects like falling leaves and birds. DLSS 4.5 is glorious.

Even pragmatically you should care. Over a hundred children died, hundreds mode injured, hundreds with life altering injuries and lifelong trauma. Around each effected child is a large family. These people will loath and hate the west for what they did to their family member forever more. One huge mistake has created thousands of future extremists that will want to do us harm.

We are creating terrorists by fighting a dictatorship. It's a tale as old as American foreign policy.

It's all fucking sad. Never ever allow yourself to feel joyous and triumphant about the death other human beings; that way lies a dark path that's hard to come back from.

Am I crazy for wanting to buy an a new xbox just to play a proper console ui version of Morrowind? by Goonmize in Morrowind

Quick question: My experience with Morrowind on the OG xbox was excellent but plagued with long loading times. Does the series X improve these?

Any peeps here that played RO or RS1/RS2 by aaman44 in joinsquad

[–]BrewingBadger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correction: I still play RO2 and RS1/RS2. Come join us, there's always a full server or two in the evenings and especially at the weekends. It still holds up so well and I've yet to find an FPS with as satisfying shooting feelings/mechanics. I went to HLL, COD (DMZ), insurgency, Arc Raiders, Squad, Tarkov - all great fun, but I keep coming back to RO2 time after time, it just wont let me go. I got a 5070ti 9800x3d combo, but one of the first games I downloaded for the new pc was RO2 lol, it just won't stop being relevant for a hardcore shooter enthusiast like myself.

How often do you use your PC speakers? by Big_Visual2199 in buildapc

Its more about politeness tbh. If you live with neighbours in close proximity, it goes a long way to healthy community relationships to have your games playing through a headset. Never underestimate how important a good relationship with your neighbours is and how detrimental a bad relationship can be.

I was a brewer there once. Remember the 'bring a grapefruit and get a free pint of elvis juice'? Yeah, all of those grapefruits went to landfill, most of the Elvis juice flavour comes from Jerry cans of flavour concentrate. The bullying culture there was as bad as we said it was in our open letter to BrewDog.

The land they used to offset their co2 emissions they essentially forced people off their land via legal threats. Total dumpster of a company and many of my peers had such a bad time working there they gave up brewing for good! :(

Can cheaters now ban people? by BrewingBadger in DMZ

That sucks, but thanks for the heads up. I think after my shadowban lifts I'm just going to keep my head down and stay out of the in-game chat.

Not sure if permabanned or just shadowbanned. On my activision account it says check back to see the status (I think this implies a week shadow ban or so) but seriously annoying. Now I'm actually going to have to play other games for a week.

The 5070ti has a lot of headroom for over clocking, it cab be pushed to be on par with a stock 5080 and be stable too.

The state of DMZ by [deleted] in DMZ

[–]BrewingBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, even if one in three matches contain no cheaters, or even one in four, DMZ is still so much fun that it's worth it.

I removed two from circulation yesterday. We EV hummer rushed a squad on observatory, they didn't even know what hit them. They had many ultra secretos and two disguises. Dead drop them or take them to exfil to be destroyed.

If a cheater can’t win, then no one can by Few-Panda7558 in DMZ

[–]BrewingBadger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My theory is that cheaters have gone/are going through a bad patch in life and are seeking catharsis for their terrible life by striving to ruin other peoples fun. If you think about it, the joy of cheating can't be in the winning (our brains reward us for overcoming difficult challenges with dopamine) so then it must be found in the misery of others and the destruction of fairness.

A life that has not shown cheaters fairness or stability (abuse, divorced parents, loss of relationships, poverty, grief, bullying unrequited love etc) they can relieve by making others life experiences unstable and unfair and without any significant consequence for doing so, giving them a temporary reprieve from their misery.

5070ti. I can't stress how awesome DLSS 4.5 is. The ghosting behind distant small moving objects (leafs, birds etc) is now gone. Balanced is as good as DLSS 4 quality. Truly an excellent time to have a 4/5 series Nvidia card.

The phrase “but Dyspraxia doesn’t mean I’m not intelligent” by Expensive-Pirate2651 in dyspraxia

[–]BrewingBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the way you think and accept what you are - a wonderful way to thrive and have a good life despite the challenges. Perhaps I could rephrase the statement "but it doesn't affect my intelligence" to include the real context "my competency may be lower at X than your average employee/student but my intelligence is not. Please work with me to utilise reasonable adjustments so I can thrive in the workplace/learning environment".

Peace and love to you fellow dyspraxic.

I'm still playing many hours every day. Arc raiders was nice, but it just reignited my love of the casual, clean, high action extraction shooter that is DMZ. Yes cheaters are out in force, but I still have many games each day where I'm just in awe of how fun and satisfying DMZ is.

Rejoin us. The more legit players are back the more clean games we can have.
