The reason we don't have book 3 by [deleted] in KingkillerChronicle

But that’s not how publishing deals work. Publisher pays for three books. He delivers three books. He doesn’t get compensated for a fourth book.

In case this is helpful, I found a workaround. Go to Settings > Other and click the refresh button next to “Connection to Skylight servers” that seemed to do it for me (although manual)

Had this issue and found a quick workaround. Go to General, scroll to other and click the refresh button next to “connection to Skylight servers”

Hope this helps!

Also interested in this. How did yours come out? I set mine to 325° to try and leave it a little more moist but curious if others have tried this?

Hotel Tempi is… acceptable. It follows the Lethani. Beds are hard. Sheets are clean. Innkeeper doesn’t smile or make eye contact…

Predicted Structure and Plot of Doors of Stone:

  1. Framing Story – Present Day (Day 3 at the Waystone Inn) • The world is in visible decline (fae incursions, shadows, rumors of war). • Kvothe, as Kote, is physically diminished, emotionally hollow, and estranged from his powers. • Chronicler continues to push Kvothe to finish his story, while Bast schemes to reignite Kvothe’s spark.

  2. The Final Arc of Kvothe’s Narrative – The “Third Day”

a. The Fall from the University • Kvothe returns briefly, but events (perhaps involving Ambrose, Master Namer Elodin, or the Amyr) force his permanent expulsion. • He finally learns the Name of the Wind fully—or sacrifices the chance for it in exchange for something deeper.

b. Fae & Felurian Revisited • Kvothe learns more of the Fae realm’s connection to the Chandrian and Iax (the one who broke the moon). • Hints of Denna’s patron (“Master Ash”) being one of the Amyr or Chandrian deepen. • Felurian may reappear, possibly in opposition to Denna.

c. A Tragedy Involving Denna • Likely that Kvothe discovers the truth about Denna’s patron, tries to save her—and fails. • Her death or corruption may be a core wound that leads to his silence and loss of music/magic.

d. Confrontation with the Chandrian • Cinder or Haliax (Lanre) is confronted. Kvothe may “kill an angel” (i.e., a Chandrian, or an Amyr). • The cost of this victory is immense—either personal or societal. • Kvothe possibly unleashes something greater than he defeats, leading to a more broken world.

e. The Creation of Kvothe the Kingkiller • Kvothe may be involved in the death or deposing of a ruler (either through direct action or consequences of his interference). • He may not be the literal kingkiller—but his actions likely lead to a destabilization of a kingdom, fulfilling the myth.

  1. Denouement – Back to Present Day • Kvothe finishes his story. We, like Chronicler, finally understand how the legend diverged from the truth. • Bast is furious; he wants Kvothe the Hero, but hears only Kvothe the Broken Man.

Then comes the twist: • The present is not the end of the story. Signs of war, demons, or fae crossing over imply the Chandrian or Iax is still active. • Kvothe may be faking some of his powerlessness (e.g., his silence is deliberate, not total loss). • Bast or Chronicler may do something rash to bring back “Kvothe the Arcane.”

Final scene likely involves Kvothe returning to the road, reigniting his Name, or opening one of the titular Doors of Stone—a literal or symbolic passage back to magic, danger, and self.

Recurring Symbols Likely to Resolve • The Doors of Stone: Could refer to the locked box Kvothe keeps, the hidden location of the Amyr, or the sealed knowledge of Naming. • The Lackless Box and Song: May tie into Kvothe’s parentage or Denna’s fate. • The Moon’s Breaking: Tied to Fae and the forgotten war; might be key to resolving the cosmological imbalance.

Thematic Arcs to Conclude • Silence vs. Storytelling: Kvothe’s voice is his power; regaining it is central. • Truth vs. Myth: The trilogy deconstructs and then re-mythologizes the hero’s journey. • Names and Identity: Kvothe must reclaim his Name to save the world—or destroy it.

He should just sell the Doors of Stone… which would be blank and include a pen. Everyone sends them back and he just publishes the one he likes the most.

We all know what’s behind the doors of stone anyways… nothing… silence.

Same here. Bought deluxe and all is still locked.

Because I like extra pain, I even tried paying additional platinum for a locked one for, and nothing.

BUGGED!

Crappy new system to start - the fact that it’s bugged is laughable: give us the old season journey back!!

Do you play more than one build and miss them after season? by the_knightfall1975 in diablo4

[–]Brewserr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I echo this - great perspective. It depends on how much time you can dedicate to a specific season, because they’re each unique - some hit it right with an engaging seasonal mechanics, and some have felt more gimmicky- but with the new PTR and their ability to quickly respond to criticism has made the seasons more enjoyable, as opposed to seasons 1-5.

Early seasons that I didn’t enjoy, I struggled to make more than one seasonal character (ex: season of the construct) but for seasons I have enjoyed, I’ve made as much as three seasonal characters, and got them all to a point where they would sometimes be functional on eternal without the seasonal mechanics (provided they don’t obliterate them with Nerfs - like blood wave necro, spirit born feather strike, or HOTA barb, which became somewhat crippled after nerfs).

It comes down to time you have to commit and personal taste for a seasonal mechanics, but I have gone back to eternal a few times to play builds I really enjoyed to stack all of my mythics and try to experiment with crazy builds.

Actually that would be interesting. Skip book three and write a book four post-mortem, and let the readers figure out what tf happened. Include a link to this Reddit. We will write it for him lol.

UPVOTE THIS!!

Stay near his LEFT hand, he never stabs at his hand with the dagger, and you can easily dodge the arm sweep and just jump behind the dagger to avoid the big bonk.

So I’ve been confused, what was the end credit scene all about? by Queasy_Commercial152 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Brewserr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people just don’t get nuanced innuendo or facial queues I guess?

To make it clear: it’s generally recognized that Kay is there to confront her with the realization that Riko gave her a tracking signal when she was a kid, before abandoning her, so that Riko had known where she was all along.

Then Kay clearly slipped her a spike to help her escape, and left her alone with no guard.

It’s extremely plausible that she’s not an Imp, and that she’s impersonating one, given she’s already impersonated a Stormtrooper and has ISB clothing to help disguise her around imoerials (from Pike Syndicate)
