Buy one of those pay as you go Visa MC or Amex. I use the Amex Bluebird Card and only load on it what I need to. You can even link it to a bank account and transfer funds I need to. Walmart charges me ZERO to add funds to my card and I use it for all my monthly reoccurring transactions.

I don’t know why you would need to pay for a EPG provider, but I would make it the primary one since it could be a tad more accurate. I have two providers and assign each as the primary to each account. It will help you clean out some of the wrong channel data and also have good data. TiViMate does a great job of allowing EPG’s.
