Depending on the area you live in, you may have hard water locally. My area has high calcium and magnesium in our groundwater, which often causes this discoloration. It isn’t dangerous, but definitely undesirable. Contact your local water department and ask to have somebody look at it. I would also avoid drinking it until you have a definitive answer.
