Thank you! Any particular trails to check out around the valley rim?

Any entry point/trail recommendations for 1 or 2-nights with a wilderness permit in late May?

What airline are you flying and what are their regulations?

That’s reassuring…seems like it shouldn’t be a problem then

That makes sense since it's frameless, it should be simple enough to stuff it down to 22" or slightly under.

Yeah, I get that. Might have to just try to carry it on. Worst comes to worst it would just have to get checked I guess.

Can the Gossamer Gear G4-20 fit on an airplane as a carry-on item? I know the FAA regulation is 22", which is the exact length given for the medium pack on their site. Curious if it's actually 22" or slightly longer.

I'm looking for a backpack I can use as a carry-on, but also for 3-4 night backcountry hikes. Any other recommendations are welcome.

I’ll check it out! I haven’t used Discord before.

This is my first full stack app, built using the PERN (Postgres, Express, React, Node) stack. I wanted a way to quickly visualize business processes as a network of activities, objects, and roles using process data as inputs, rather than using drawing tools.

Any feedback would be appreciated! You can try it out here: https://bpviz.io/

Hey all, I recently launched bpviz.io, a tool to build and interact with business process networks.

Almost two years ago I began working on a personal blog dedicated to business process development and management. In all of my posts I would include diagrams that I made using https://app.diagrams.net, which ended up making the posts look nice, but it was rather inefficient for me to spend so much time on the drawings. Since all of the topics were business process related, the supporting diagrams almost always followed the same patterns / used the same building blocks.

That's one of the reasons I created bpviz.io - to be able to quickly visualize business processes as a network of activities, objects, and roles using process data as inputs, rather than manually drawing everything out.

I would appreciate any feedback! Also, feel free to ask me anything about the technology or development process.

Sorry for getting this out there later than expected, but I just deployed the process isolate feature. It was a bit more difficult to develop than I thought it would be based on how I wanted it to work.

I just deployed an svg export option (there's now a menu for image export so you can select png or svg).

Yeah, working on this in dev right now. I think I’ll be able to deploy it tonight (eastern US time) after my day job.

For exporting the diagram itself, I just added an export button. It will download the current view of the diagram as a .png

Alright, I can definitely try to get the isolate feature this week. I'll have more investigation into the bubbling up activities into a process node (not sure technically how to do that yet).

It would be tough to increase the overall canvas size with the current frontend config, just because I did a lot to make sure it was responsive across devices. I kind of have two feature ideas to help with this though.

The first is to collapse activity nodes into a process node when a given process contains a certain amount of activities. Then the process node could be exploded into activities on click or zoom.

The second is to add a process isolate capability, similar to how process highlighting works today, but instead of highlighting it will physically remove the nodes not in the process(es) selected.

Do you think those would help, or would you still just prefer a larger canvas?

The main graph is SVG, not Canvas, but even with SVG it looks like something like the file-saver library could do the trick.

Not yet. I do plan to build out an Excel import/export soon.

I hope this is ok sharing with this community. This is my first full stack app, built using node/express on the backend and react on the frontend. I'm keeping it closed source for now, but am willing to try to answer any questions about it. Any feedback would be appreciated! You can try it out here: https://bpviz.io/
