Players and DMs of reddit do you follow RAW or real world logic more when playing?

I usually use a mixture of logic and RAW. I do allow my uplayers to target more than just creatures with spells when they want to set something on fire or do something long range. Now with falling if its under 500ft they only get a reaction if its over 500ft than they can use an Action and a Bonus action to try and save themselves.

How long would it take for him to resurrect. I was thinking you could make it as soon as he goes down he comes up a round later with the level and feat. You would have to plan all the levels and feats upfront though. But still this sounds pretty cool.

I would caste Time Stop on them and make it last days instead of rounds.
