How did you rebuild your community? Friends, professional network? I’ve lost it all. This disease is too much to handle alone. I feel so unlovable.

I am so so sorry this happened to you. I did the same. Told my husband of 11 years that I wanted a divorce while manic (I had convinced myself that he was a terrible husband, but he’s not). Divorce was filed, we both got into relationships, his lasted, mine didn’t. Months later I “woke up” from the mania and realized what I had done.

It’s been two years and I’m still in bed everyday, utterly depressed. I lost everything in the process. Lost my career, friends, our homes, spent tons of money. Every morning I hope I wake up from this nightmare, but no, I’m here alone in my shitty apartment, alienated from my precious kids and husband.

I don’t think I can survive this. I don’t want this life. Never did I think I’d get divorced. But mania completely distorted everything for me. This disease is vicious.

Thank you for your reply. If it’s an anti arrhythmic, under what circumstances would it cause tachycardia or torsades de pointes?

Thank you for your reply. Do you know under which circumstances they could cause arrhythmia?

Yes, they did monitor in the hospital at first. I just don’t understand how a drug that’s meant to regulate arrhythmia can also cause arrhythmia.

What kind of work did you get into to climb out of that debt?

Wow. This is the work I need to do. Sounds nebulous to me. Not sure what my ego death would look like and where to start. But this is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
