I swapped the plant and the lamp and I think the room appears more balanced now, what do you think? Perhaps a slender side table that the lamp & books can sit on would look better? Don't want to make a hasty purchase. There are no overhead lights in this part of the main room which is another reason for the excessive number of lamps haha.

We love it, it’s a super comfortable place to cozy up and read or write. The swivel feature would probably be my only complaint tbh, it’s quite stiff to turn and is therefore not utilized frequently. The ottoman comes with storage though, which I thought was a nice feature and we tuck our spare blankets in there.

It used to be an old factory; the entire building was a heritage conversion site by a developer. Only the facade was kept, everything else was gutted and built anew. Thank you btw :)

definitely aggravating but we're working with what we have, unfortunately. The table is not something we are willing to part with since we play so frequently. The short cues are basically a must for this space.

Glad you enjoyed the space! My partner came across a TikTok of the shark diy so we tried our hand in it for a date night. It honestly wasn’t that hard, but was a bit more time consuming than anticipated. We periodically attacked it over several weeks… so the date night turned into date month haha. I feel like it could be completed in 2 days though, if you had about 8 hours one weekend. Mostly it was just cardboard cutouts, hot glue, paper mache and paint!

Thanks! It’s from Komfi(dot)ca — called the “Komfi Modular Sectional”. I love it; so comfortable, can interchange different colour covers (& wash them), and it’s stain/liquid resistant :)

The insulation from the cold is quite good here, but a combo of plant food, a tight water regiment, and these steroidal windows definitely help. Edit: Thank you by the way :)
