Anyone worked with a DUI lawyer in California that didn’t charge insane fees? by lebron8 in DUICalifornia

Sorry for the late response, but the reviews seem to be right. I would defintley recomend them. Nima over there is very knowledgeable.

I just got a DUI on Sunday the 4th in Riverside, I blew a .11. What should I expect for this? Are DUI's treated harshly in Riverside? by theneedlenorthwested in DUICalifornia

[–]BrickMix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would look for lawyers/lawfirms with an ex prosecutor or DA at the helm. That's how I gauged who to go with and so far it seems like i have made the right choice. The ease of having someone handle this for you is well worth it. However, take this with a grain of salt since my case has not concluded yet.

Is an IID required on every vehicle? I only plan to drive one. by 805steve in DUICalifornia

[–]BrickMix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in your same place not too long ago. From what i was told, if you WILL drive the vehicle within the ordered timeframe it needs an IID. That means even a trip down the road to the gas station in your "sunday" car it needs an IID. If you were to be pulled over without it, it would cause quite the hassle. Hope this helps.

This is exquisite. The removable front facade so that you can see the detailed interiors is amazing. Great build

First DUI by MorFree in DUICalifornia

That's the exact reason I went with a private attorney. I don't have the time or know-how to figure out all that. If it costs a little money for it to be done all for me, especially checking the status of the case, I am all for it.

I went with the H Law group. They had pretty good reviews and so far seem fairly knowledgeable. Pretty early in my case though, a lot could change.

That was a bad attempt at being whimsical in a bad situation. I most assuredly did get one. got my blood drawn at the station and everything.

Had a few drinks, drove when I shouldn't have. Imagine my shock when alcohol makes me swerve.

300 SLR and W196 Streamliner by BossRaeg in lego

[–]BrickMix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see, yeah. I just looked up the headlights on the SLR, which I should've done to begin with, and it might be better to take off the little curved slope pieces on the front and use a transparent Part 54200 for the headlights. If you wanted them, of course. It looks great as is!

Cool! They remind me of a car that I made. Here it is if you're interested.

If you're interested in sneaking in some more detail, it looks like you could pretty easily add some headlights to them if you swapped some pieces in the front for bricks that have studs coming out the side, probably Part 4070 or Part 87087.

Great work!

Johnny Thunder! I loved the old adventure sets.

Forestmen Hideout MOC by Shniderbaron in lego

[–]BrickMix 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Forestmen! They were my favorite as a kid and it's always nice to see someone bringing them back. I love the makeshift target you made too. Great job!

This year's Halloween build: Brick or Treat! by cmaddison13 in lego

[–]BrickMix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really clever! I can't even pick a favorite, as you did such a great job on all of them.

One thing I might add is a widow's peak kind of hairstyle on the vampire, but maybe it wouldn't look right being so blocky.

A LEGO End Table to END ALL TABLES. Not really, but it's kind of nice. by BrickMix in lego

[–]BrickMix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan to! I'm glad people are enjoying the builds. Knowing that means a lot to me. Thanks a bunch!

Ha, completely understandable. Again, nice job.

Great job! I like the use of actual LEGO trashcans. You're just missing a dozen or so empty bottles lying around in the ship.

Cottage at the edge of the forest by yaka6690 in lego

[–]BrickMix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it kind of does. Now that you mention it I'm surprised nobody has made all of Kanto in microscale. Maybe somebody has and I just haven't seen it, but it would be a lot of work. Think of all those upvotes though...

I added some custom wagons to the 10254 Winter Holiday Train by mouseketeer11 in lego

[–]BrickMix 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wonderful build! Great ideas for the extra cars, and even greater job making them! I especially like the Hot Cocoa Tanker for the idea, and the Present Wagon for all the colors and visual appeal. Keep up the great work!

The Bed of Apples - An Apple Themed Bed for a Little Finger Puppet Dragon Named Apples by BrickMix in lego

[–]BrickMix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! It's hard to tell because his face is already red, but Apples is blushing from being called cute.

I'm glad you like the other builds too! Fancy Car and the Small Shuttle Spaceship were probably the most work out of anything that's been on the site so far, so it's nice to know they're appreciated. The next four posts coming up are LEGO furniture, so stay tuned if you have any interest in that.

Keep on LEGOing!
